“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
Mark Twain

Welcome to our 21-Day Experience, Desire and Destiny! We are delighted and honored that you are joining us, as together we expand our understanding of ourselves and we open to the magnificent lives we are meant to live—our destinies.

Our deepest, most heartfelt desires are like stars in a constellation . . . brilliant, twinkling lights that show us the way and create pathways to our true destinies. It is our soul’s mission to connect with, cherish, and realize our desires in order to live our lives to the fullest and make our greatest contributions to the world. In fulfilling our heart-held dreams we flourish, serving ourselves and others from a place of bliss, generosity, and love. Our journey starts at the beginning, in the center, as we go within to listen to our deepest truth.

Mindful Moment

Today is a new beginning, the first step on a very special journey. Along the way there will be new sights to see and concepts to learn. As you travel through this day, take time to acknowledge yourself and celebrate your choice to live mindfully and wholeheartedly! With your mind and heart open, you are creating the space to manifest the life of your dreams.”

Day 1:  Who Am I?

Centering Thought:  I am my deepest desire.

Sanskrit Mantra:  So Hum

Oprah:  Welcome, Everyone!  I am so happy and honored once again that you’re joining Deepak and me for our new 21-day meditation experience  This one is called desire and destiny.  Whether you’re joining us for the first time or you’ve been with us for previous meditations, I know you will be profoundly changed by this worldwide experience of joyful, transformation.  What I know for sure is that each of us has been put here for a purpose.  We each have a unique destiny and that destiny unfolds with light and clarity when we are still enough to hear the whispers of our truest desires.  When you let that deep, quiet, beautiful energy rise up from within, it will begin to shape your intentions, your thoughts and especially your actions and ultimately it will lighten the path to your most abundant, wondrous destiny.
Over the next three weeks we will journey on that path to more abundance.  In week one, we’ll begin to shift our perception to feel our true essence at a vibrant new level.  Then in our second week, we’ll open up to the whispers of our deepest heart wishes so that we can begin to create a more blissful way, guided by passion and inspiration.  Then in week three, we bring everything together as we move toward sharing our light and expanding the momentum of abundance in the world.  Exciting, huh?  So, here we go.  Take a deep breath, get comfortable, and invite this beautiful new energy in.  Let’s all listen as Deepak shares his wisdom and begins to pose the most important soul question.  I remember when he ask me this question, ‘Who Am I?’  Then we’ll meditate together.”
Deepak:  ”  Over the next three weeks we will share a journey toward living each day of lives with inspired passion and abundance.  Connecting with our deepest desires, we will cultivate a state of peaceful awareness, open to our pure potential, aligned with our souls purpose, and realize our true destiny.  As we begin, let’s consider what desire and destiny really are.

Desire is often interpreted in spiritual philosophies as a selfish distraction which, when indulged, pulls us away from our connection with spirit.  I believe that desires are seeds planted within to do just the opposite.  I believe they lead us to our divine passion and purpose.  They are our dreams, our divine wishes.  They are signs.  When we pay attention to, and explore our desires, they help us connect to our destiny.  As ancient Indian sages observed thousands of years ago, our destiny is shaped by the deepest level of our intension and desire.  Once we plant the seed of an intention in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, our soul’s journey unfolds automatically, as naturally as a bulb becomes a tulip or an embryo becomes a child.

Over the next three weeks we will contemplate a series of timeless soul questions to tap into our true desire and destiny.  So, where do we begin our journey?  Long ago, William Shakespeare observed a profound simplicity.  It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.  This wise statement leads us to our very first essential understanding as we step forward into our journey together.  The most empowering transformational step we can take in life is to discover the truth within.  Close your eyes for a moment and ask, Who am I?   This timeless question has no wrong answer.  it is a question I encourage you to ask yourself every day.  Who am I?  Quietly listen for the answer.  Who Am I?  Listen deeply.  Receive each and every whisper from your soul.  Receive and ask again.  Who Am I?
Once we begin to understand who we are, we open the door to infinite and abundant possibility.  As we prepare to meditate together, take a moment to consider our centering thought, ‘I am my deepest desire’.  ’I am my deepest desire’.
Now we’ll begin our meditation.  Please find a comfortable position,  placing your hands lightly in your lap and closing your eyes.  Notice the inflow and outflow of your breath, just as it is.  Feel your body, noticing any tension it might be holding on to and let it melt away with each inhalation and exhalation.  Let go of all thoughts and expectations.  Trust that your meditation experience today, and each day, will be exactly right in the moment.  Now gently introduce the Sanskrit Mantra, So Hum, which means I Am.  Silently repeat the mantra mentally, allowing it to flow with effortless ease.  So Hum.  So Hum.  So Hum.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or sounds in the environment, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.  So Hum.  So Hum.  So Hum.  Just mentally.  So Hum.  So Hum.  Please continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.
Please release the mantra, taking a moment to become aware of your body.  When you are ready, open your eyes.
As you move through this day, I invite you to carry with you this ancient Hindu teaching …
You are what your deepest desire is.  As is your desire, so is your intention.  As is your intention, so is your will.  As is your will, so is your deed.  As is your deed, so is your destiny.
Take each step along the way today, envisioning yourself as the divine being that you are, and contemplate our centering thought,  ’I am my deepest desire’.  ’I am my deepest desire.’  ’I am my deepest desire.’
Namaste”

Day 2 Empowered Me

“Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web,
he does to himself.”
 Chief Seattle

Today we explore the concept of karma, the ebb and flow of energy in our lives. We will discover that with awareness, we have the opportunity to mindfully harness this natural current to create a life where our dreams and desires open with effortless ease.

So often we hear about good karma and bad karma, but in reality, karma is simply a reciprocal exchange—what we give, we receive in kind. Through meditation, we connect more deeply with the present, increase our awareness of “what is,” and emerge from the silence with a sense of balance and a desire to make right, conscious choices in our lives. In this way, we begin to recognize our own undeniable role in creating the story of our lives and begin to align ourselves with those choices that are the most nurturing for ourselves and everyone around us.

Mindful MomentTake a moment to observe one choice before you today. Prior to making a decision, check in with your inner voice and ask yourself, “Is this the most nourishing choice for me and everyone around me?” If the answer does not feel right to you, then consider making another decision. If when you check in with yourself, your choice feels right in your heart, then proceed with abandon.
Centering Thought:  I am a powerful creator
Sanskrit Mantra:  Om Kriyam Namah – My actions are aligned with cosmic law
Oprah:  “Welcome to day w.  Empowered Me.  Yesterday we ask ourselves the question, ‘Who Am I?’  That’s a big one.  We did that to begin opening up to our deepest destiny.  Every human has to answer  that himself/herself.  Today, we tap into the powerful law of Karma as an instrument for unlocking our potential and realizing our dreams.  What is Karma?  Its a tool to create abundance; more simply said, what you put out into the world is always coming back to you.  And you have a choice in the Karma you create in life.  When you are more conscious and present, you can choose actions and thoughts that nurture rather than hurt, allowing more of your innate goodness to emanate in the world which draws abundance and richness back to you.  If you don’t like what is manifesting in your life, you can change your choices and thereby change your karmic pattern. Being present and aware of your ability to make different choices, you begin to feel a new expansive sense of freedom and hope.  With each deliberate choice, you can feel more deeply your powerful influence in creating ever-flowing abundance in your life.  Consider that as Deepak guides us toward more empowerment through choice and we’ll meditate on that together.
Deepak:   Have you ever felt as if you were being tossed around at the will of the world around you with little influence on your daily experience and destiny?  At times it may feel as if we are just passengers along for the ride.  We may find ourselves reacting to situations in life with a sense of powerlessness, as if our circumstance is completely preordained.
Today, we explore Karma’s role in unlocking our potential and realizing our dreams.  Our relationship and intention with our Karma provides a powerful tool that provides a sense of freedom and empowerment as we recognize our influence in creating positive, ever-flowing abundance in our lives.   In the spiritual law of Karma, every action generates a force of energy that is returned to us in kind.  Simply put, what we give, we receive.  When we chose actions  that bring happiness and success to others, the fruit of our Karma is happiness and success.  The key to using the law of Karma or the law of cause and effect is becoming aware of the choices we make in each moment.
When we are more conscious and present, we can choose actions and thoughts that nurture rather than hurt us.  When we have a a decision to make, it’s useful to ask ourselves which action is likely to bring happiness and fulfillment to me and everyone affected by my choice.  Setting the intention to make choices  that will bring awareness and success to others is a powerful choice.
Today, we’ll begin to shift our karmic presence by inviting the state of equanimity into our lives.   This divine state is accessible and within each one of us we open it through the stillness of meditation.  When we live in equanimity, we experience a deep inner balance and a sense of peace, an ability to focus on the beauty of the whole rather than on contrasts such as good versus bad, winner versus loser.  In this beautiful state, we release and allow ourselves to absorb the tranquility of mind, deep awareness and acceptance of the present moment found in the absolute stillness of  pure consciousness.
By cultivating equanimity each day though our meditation practice, we gently wash away the karmic patterns and consequences from our trail of past choices, creating a new life vibration.  As we continue our journey to meditation, practicing with our karmic resonance and cultivating equanimity in our lives, we release the past, awaken to the present, and take action to create the future we desire.  We now realize that we are the masters of our own destinies, free to enjoy our  life rich with fulfillment, purpose and passion.
As we prepare to meditate together, lets take a few moments to focus on today’s centering thought, ‘I am a powerful creator’.  ‘I am a powerful creator.’
Now lets begin.  Please find a comfortable position, place your hands lightly in your lap, palms upward, and close your eyes.  Breathe naturally and effortlessly.  Notice in the inflow and outflow of your breath.  Bring your awareness to your body and notice any tension it might be holding on to.  Allow your breath to wash away this tension.  Begin to release your thoughts and expectations.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to be more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Now gently introduce the mantra, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, Om Kriyam Namah.  The Sanskrit mantra translates in English to ‘My actions are aligned with cosmic law’.  Om Kriyam Namah.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body nor noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra.   Om Kriyam Namah.  Please continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.
Release the mantra and bring your attention back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.
As you continue with your day,  carry this new understanding of your pivotal role of your life with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, ‘I am a powerful creator’.  ‘I am a powerful creator.’  ‘I am a powerful creator.’

Day 3 Confident Me

"Princess Diaper Head"

“Princess Diaper Head”

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Eleanor Roosevelt

“The Spiritual Law of Least Effort tells us that we can do less and accomplish more, an idea that seems at odds with what many of us have been taught throughout our lives. In general, we hold the belief that success is the result of hard work, struggle, and sacrifice.

As we’re learning through our time together, the universe has infinite organizing power and as conscious beings, we have ready access to this realm simply by spending time in stillness and silence. The same consciousness that orchestrates the myriad rhythms of the whole world dwells within each of us. By aligning ourselves with consciousness, connecting fully with the present, and staying open to the many opportunities life offers, we have the power within us to realize all our dreams with effortless ease.”

Mindful Moment“Just for today, make the decision to practice defenselessness. When you find yourself involved in a discussion in which you feel compelled to take one side over another or express your opinion in order to sway that of another person, instead, gently let go of the need to defend your point of view. Make a commitment to follow the path of no resistance in other ways throughout your day. Witness how effortlessly your day unfolds as you practice letting go and accept things just as they are.”

Centering Thought:  “Abundance flows easily and freely to me.”

Sanskrit Mantra:  ” Sat Chit Ananda – Existence, consciousness, bliss.”

Oprah:  “Welcome to day 3, Confident Me.  Rooted in many of us is this belief that achieving success means hard work, long hours, struggle, and sacrifice.  The more we do, some people think, the more we become.  Well that is what our egos would have us believe.  But our beautiful and expansive universe operates in the exact opposite way.   In divine order and purpose, as in nature, life unfolds with effortless ease.  Think about this for a moment – our lungs breathe and our hearts beat without any effort.  So, too, are our dreams materialized when we connect with divine, natural intelligence.  The truth is, the universe is just waiting to help each of us turn our desires and hopes into reality.  When you tap into universal energy, the abundance that is ABSOLUTELY within you and all around you, emerges with grace and ease.  Observe how you feel.  Let your feelings guide you.  Embrace the flow that is just waiting to respond to your intentions and beliefs.  I promise you this, your life will begin to shift as you release beliefs that limit you and then you will move with comfort, ease and confidence toward the fullest, most pleasing abundant possibilities for you.  So enjoy all those possibilities as Deepak guides us toward co-creating everything our hearts desire and everything we need in our lives.  And then again today, we’ll meditate…together.”

Deepak:    “The path of following your joy is guided by the spiritual law of least effort that says that nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease.  Nature provides wonderful examples of this spontaneous creation.  A rose doesn’t struggle to blossom, it simply unfolds in beauty and grace.  Birds don’t make heroic efforts to fly, they just fly.  It is the nature of the sun to shine and it is the nature of stars to sparkle and it is human nature for our dreams to manifest in physical form, easily and effortlessly.

Yet, many of us were brought up with the belief that life is a struggle.  Some of us inherited the thought that there will never be enough and others learned that comfortable abundance is always out of reach and is really only for others.  Perhaps, from an early age, we were taught that success requires hard work, sacrifice and unwavering discipline.  As adults, this belief in ‘no pain, no gain’, may drive us to work 70 hour weeks, sacrificing time with our family and friends and neglecting our health and well-being.

On our quest toward accessing abundance, we may continue to believe that it will just never happen, a belief  that may compel us to compare ourselves to those around us, from a place of lack or scarcity.  Over time, we are likely to feel exhausted, burned out and disconnected from our true desires and joy.  Today, we will take one of our first steps towards shifting these perspectives.

The path of forced effort and struggle is painful and ultimately limits our success because it is based on the ego’s fears and insecurities.  The ego believes that it has to do everything by itself and it struggles for power, approval and safety.  Our true self, or soul, on the other hand, knows it is always connected to an infinite universe that responds to all of our intentions and desires.   Our true self doesn’t struggle and push, it creates with effortless ease in alignment with the divine forces  of the universe.  When your actions are inspired by love, you are able to do less while accomplishing more because nature is held together by the energy of love.  In every moment, you have a choice about how you want to use two of your most precious resources – your attention and your intention. If you choose to focus your awareness on love, compassion, appreciation and peace, those qualities will expand in your experience.  You will find yourself living in the flow of grace and ease, in alignment with the creative power of the universe.

As we prepared to meditate, let’s consider our centering thought, ‘Abundance flows easily and freely to me’. ‘Abundance flows easily and freely to me.’  Let’s begin.

Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.  In this moment, let your awareness move within.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  Now gently introduce the mantra, Sat Chit Ananda which means existence, consciousness and bliss.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself, Sat Chit Ananda.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts or noises around you, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.

Release the mantra.    Please bring your awareness back into your body, take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  Approach today with certainty as you contemplate the centering thought, ‘Abundance flows easily and freely to me’.  ‘Abundance flows easily and freely to me.’  ‘Abundance flows easily and freely to me.’

Journal Questions:

1.  Make a list of the areas in your life that feel like a struggle. Use this writing time to let it all out; write until you feel complete. After journaling take a moment to feel all of the sensations in your body, mind, and heart associated with your writing. Take a deep breath in, using your breath to send gentle love and light to any place within that feels tense, uneasy, heavy, or conflicted. Visualize all feelings of struggle being released as you exhale.

2.  Reflecting on the answers to question one, describe how some or all of your perceived struggles might be blocking abundance in your life. Take this time to write how you can reframe your reaction to perceived struggle. Is there an action or actions that will provide a sense of relief? What are the ways that you can create a sense of peace, openness, and awareness during times that struggle shows up in your life?

3.  What are you grateful for today?

4.  Reflect further on your experience today.

Day 4 Conscious Me

Sharon Abbott-Furze

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes.” Marcel Proust

“All around us are messages that lead us to believe our lives are ones of scarcity and lack, and that competition with one another is the only way we can truly succeed. However, when we begin to witness the world—whether standing in the middle of a majestic forest or scanning the shelves at the grocery store—we come to understand that the entire universe presents itself to us and is ours to enjoy.

In order for us to truly experience everything the world has to offer, we must first come to appreciate all that we already have. By being truly grateful, we open the door to all the power, wisdom, and creativity of the universe, connecting ever more deeply with pure consciousness and its ability to usher anything we can envision into our lives.”

Mindful Moment“Today, no matter where you are or what you are doing, take notice of the abundance that surrounds you. Abundance may appear as a loose penny in the parking lot, a warm hug from a friend, or a plentiful display of produce at the supermarket. Consider how effortlessly and easily these gifts and signs of abundance showed up in your experience and give yourself permission to feel authentic gratitude for these blessings.  You will be surprised and delighted by the multitude of gifts that continue to appear throughout your day and for days to come.”
Centering Thought:  ” Abundance surrounds me.”

Sanskrit Mantra:  “Aham Brahmasmi – I am the universe.”

Oprah:  ”  Welcome to Day 4, Conscious Me.  Yesterday we began to shift the belief that the path to success means struggle and hard work.  We opened ourselves to a new assured path guided by joy and ease, paved by the power of the universe.  Didn’t it feel freeing to know you can trust in that?  Well,  just as we may believe that struggle is required to achieve success, we are often conditioned to believe that there is only so much to go around.  We are driven to compete, to finish first, to have the most, and do whatever it takes to be the best.  These beliefs create isolation, separation, and a lot of frustration.  They cause us to operate from a place of deprivation rather from the joyful abundant place of  self acceptance.  Truth is, the universe operates with unlimited generosity and cooperation and you – we, all have the choice.  You have the choice to accept yourself and others with trust in that generosity.  Awakening to kindness and acceptance opens the door to greater possibility and endless abundance for you.  So sit back and relax, listen and let  Deepak guide us even closer to unity, to our potentiality and more blessings.  From that space, we’ll meditate.”

Deepak:  “In Trina Paulus’ book, Hope for the Flowers, two caterpillars get caught up in the fallacy of competition and struggle to reach the top of a caterpillars pile.  By journey’s end, however, they learn that their true nature, and that of every other caterpillar is not one of winning and being at the top, but of going within and emerging as beautiful butterflies who were born to soar.  Like the caterpillars in that tale, very early on in our lives, we may have received messages that we must compete in order to succeed.  Whether we engage in sports, takes  tests in school, seek a partner, look for a job, or campaign for public office, there seemingly must always emerge winners and losers.  Those who stand out above the rest and those who are left behind.  Each of these scenarios gives us a sense that there is deep lack in the world with only so much glory, love, money and other resources to go around.  This perspective then creates such an urgency to be seen to be the best and to finish first, that we may adopt a willingness to so whatever it takes to win or be right, even if it’s out of alignment with our values and our heart’s truth.  We may begin to see the success of others as a threat as if there is just not enough room for everyone to win.  This response creates separation which pulls us away from the natural flow of the universe.

The truth is that abundance exists all around us, in nature, in our local grocery stores, in the deep love of our friends and family – everywhere in the universe.  In going within and connecting with the true self, we find it easier to understand this and appreciate what we already have.  As we pay attention to what is, we begin to align with the  true abundance that is alway present within our lives.  From this place of gratitude, we invite our egos to step aside and we feel a greater kinship with everyone and everything around us.  Releasing the limiting thoughts and beliefs of scarcity and lack, we no longer exist in competition with our fellow human beings.  We experience a new way of being, choosing to see the world as an abundant place with room enough for all to express their unique talents and succeed.  Here, we step into, and embrace unity, peace and infinite abundance.

As we prepare for meditation, we begin by focusing on today’s centering thought, ‘Abundance surrounds me’.  ‘Abundance surrounds me.’

Now please find a comfortable position.  With your hands lightly in your lap, place your palms upward and close your eyes.  Allow your breath to flow naturally and effortlessly.  Connect with your body and notice any tension it might be holding on to.  Send loving thoughts to any areas in need of attention and invite your body to release any stress.  As you inhale and exhale, allow yourself to feel calmer and more relaxed.  Gently introduce the mantra, Aham Brahmasmi which means, I am the universe, repeating it silently without effort.  Aham Brahmasmi.  Aham Brahmasmi.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or feelings in your body, go back to silently repeating the mantra.  Please continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Release the mantra.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

As you continue with your day, remain open to all that is abundant in your life and in the lives of others, repeating today’s centering thought, ‘Abundance surrounds me’.  ‘Abundance surrounds me.’ ‘Abundance surrounds me.'”

Day 5 Abundant Me

"Picking Apples" www.sfago.com Sharon Abbott-Furze

“Not what we have But what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.” Epicurus

“What are the things that light you up and excite you more fervently than anything else in your life? Whatever comes to you when you ask yourself that question are signs leading you to your true passion, your most heartfelt desire, and ultimately your destiny.

When we heed the call of our deepest desires, we fulfill our true destinies. In our world, we often feel the pull of our passions when we are very young but lose the connection to them through life’s conditioning. For many of us, we’re taught that we must say good-bye to our passions as we cross the divide between childhood and adulthood. Yet, passion is what drives us to be the very best individuals we can be.

Through meditation, we begin to lose those long-held stories about who we should be and become more intimately re-acquainted with who we really are. We shine brightly as the individuals we were born to be and freely share our gifts with everyone we meet.”

Mindful Moment“Set aside one hour today to do something you thoroughly enjoy.  It doesn’t matter what it is . . . whether it’s a walk in the woods, reading a good book, or creating a delicious meal . . . do it purely for the joy of the activity.  As you settle in for sleep tonight, revisit the experience in your mind, considering why this activity excited you or brought you joy. Set the intention to awake the next day in this same state of mind and heart. “
Centering Thought:   I choose abundance
Sanskrit Mantra:  Om Bhavam Namah.  I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibilities.
Oprah:  “Welcome to Day 5, Abundant Me.  One of the life truths I know for sure is, what you focus on expands.  It’s a natural law.  When you do what you love, energy and prosperity flow in every way.  Many of us believe that living our passions and desires is out of our reach.  We think we’re not smart enough or pretty enough or worthy enough to realize our dreams.  But I’m here to tell you that it’s your birthright as a human being to receive infinite gifts of the universe.  You are here to fulfill your purpose in this world.  Your desires forge the path that leads you directly to the fulfillment of that purpose.  Joy and abundance comes effortlessly when we’re paying attention to our lives, when we pursue the moments that light us up, and build, one moment at a time, a life filled with passion, with intention and fulfillment.  When we do what we love, and give freely of ourselves, what we offer comes back to us in ways just far beyond our imagination.  There are no limits to what we can give – and receive.  So let’s open the door together with Deepak and clear the way for an endless bounty of blessings.  Then , as always, we’ll meditate. “
Deepak:  “Passion is the free flow of natural energy that leads us toward the fulfillment of our dreams, desires and purpose in life.  When we do anything with passion, we express every aspect of who we are.  Time seems to stand still as we engage in whatever activity fills us with inspiration, love and joy.Without passion, life can feel flat or stale yet many people hold their passion in check or bury it so deeply that they are not aware of it’s existence.  It is those moments when we do what we love that we open the door to abundance and prosperity in all areas of our lives.  It is that simple.  As we grew up, some of us received the message that we don’t deserve to have passions, that what we want is unacceptable, that it is wrong, impractical or selfish to pursue our dreams.   We may feel powerless and think, ‘Why bother having desires when they will never be fulfilled anyway?’As you listen to these words, what feelings come up for you.  Do you feel connected to your passion?  When you wake up in the morning, are you usually excited about your projects and plans for the day or do you feel lost, bored or stuck.  If you aren’t doing what you love, what thoughts or beliefs are holding you back? The most common limiting beliefs focus on money and worth.  So many people tell themselves they can’t make a living doing what they love.   Or, that dream is just out of reach.  It is really not meant to be.  When you hold some part of yourself in reserve, you severely limit what life can bring to you, and what you can give to life.Abundance flows when you are centered in the awareness that your true self is pure spirit, unbounded in time and space.  Spirit doesn’t place limits on your joy,  prosperity and fulfillment.  It is our ego that creates limiting stories about why we can’t make enough money doing what we love, or that we’re not worthy of prosperity.  As we recognize that these stories are simply thoughts and not the truth, we can gently let them go and return to our natural state of creativity, joy and abundance.  Remember that no matter how deeply you’ve buried your desires, they are a force of evolution and growth that can never be completely denied. You are here to fulfill a unique purpose in the world and your desires are clues that lead you directly to the expression of your destiny.  As you live your love and purpose, you will be held in the arms of abundance.  You were born to deeply receive the bounties that spirit provides.  All that is required of you is to say, ‘yes’.  Take a deep breath and receive.  Receive.  Receive. As we prepare to meditate, let’s consider our centering thought, I choose abundance.  I choose abundance.Let’s begin..Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.  In this moment, go within.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  Now, gently introduce the mantra.  It is the sound Om Bhavam Namah which means, I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibilities.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself, Om Bhavam Namah.  Om Bhavam Namah.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts or noises around you, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.  Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  It’s time to release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.Approach today with certainty as you contemplate the centering thought, I choose abundance.  I choose abundance.  I choose abundance.”Namaste
Journal Questions:
1.  “Have you had a passion or dream that was minimized or squelched by yourself or another? Write about what it felt like to share your dream and have it dismissed. Did that experience impact how you respond to sparks of passion, dreams, and desires in your life now?”
2.  “Reflect and spend time writing about what you can learn about yourself, others, and life from that experience or other experiences like it. Our reaction to our self-talk and the input of others just might be blocking our dreams from coming to life. Identify and write down several strategies you can use to protect the uplifting energy and possibility that your innovative ideas, dreams and desires hold.”

“We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.” Abraham Lincoln

“Within each perceived failure or difficult life passage lives the seed of opportunity, but so often in life when we experience a setback, we have difficulty seeing the true blessing enveloped in this disguise. Through the sustained practice of meditation, we begin to clear away ego thoughts connected with success and failure and begin to understand that the universe must have much grander plans in store for us that we can only begin to fathom.

Each step along the path of life, regardless of the destination, is an exciting part of the adventure. The moments themselves are the gift, the journey itself, the rich reward.”

Mindful Moment“Use today to experiment with perception by tapping into the power of your thoughts, intentions, and the resilient strength that is always with you. As you travel through the day, any time you feel a sense of struggle, or you hear your inner dialogue sending you messages that cause you to feel you have failed or that you are less than, take a moment to pause. Stop what you are doing and allow yourself to take a deep breath. Then re-write the story of your inner response. Take time to identify the opportunities before you as a result of this perceived adversity.  Give yourself permission to be in gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow. “
Centering Thought:  “A gift resides in every moment.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me”
Oprah:  “Welcome to Day 6, Resilient Me.  This is how I live my life, and know this for sure… every day brings us a chance to start over.  We all have those stand down moments that require us to stop and center ourselves and clear the way for truth and transformation.  Sometimes those are painful moments.  Though it’s hard to imagine, when you lose what you thought was a perfect relationship, the job that defined you for 20 years is gone, the people you counted on turn their backs on you, you may actually be taking a step forward on the path to your truest desires and ultimately to your destiny.  Perceived failure is just life trying to move us in another direction – this I KNOW for sure.  Even devastation is there to bring us closer to being more of who we are.  In the midst of my own greatest turmoil, when I’ve reminded myself to get still, to let go and listen for the treasure in the experience, I’m always guided to my deepest truth, and to the next right step.   That is grace, My Friends, and abundance.  When we get quiet, become more observant, more contemplative and less reactive, we can then find the gifts that are buried in every problem awaiting us.  When we trust in the generosity of the ever-present, releasing our fears, releasing our resistance, we can connect with the truth that every challenge really opens a new door, bringing us closer to our destiny.  So, let’s settle in as Deepak reveals how to embrace resilience so we can find gratitude, calm and the new dreams the universe is generously waiting to unveil. ”
Deepak:  “When everything is flowing according to our idea of how things should be, it’s easy to feel that we’re living in harmony with the rhythms of the universe.  But when there is a clear gap between what we want and how our life is unfolding, we’re more likely to feel stress and doubt.  We may judge a situation as wrong or unfair.  Or judge ourselves for what we perceive as our shortcomings or failures.  When our mind is full of resistance and painful thoughts, it’s difficult to access our innate state of wisdom, clarity and creativity.  We get caught up in our thoughts and begin to think we are our thoughts.  In the inner quiet of meditation, our mind settles and we’re able to witness our thoughts and limiting stories as a detached observer.  As our awareness expands we begin to see the hidden gifts and possibilities in whatever challenge we are facing.  With a shift of perception, we realize that what appeared to be a devastating setback has actually cleared the way for our rebirth and transformation. The life cycle of the sequoia tree offers a beautiful example of nature’s cycle of clearing and renewal.  The giant sequoias are some of the worlds most ancient trees.  The oldest known sequoia is estimated to be about 3,500 years old.  What is the secret of the Sequoia’s incredible longevity?  The elemental power of fire.  Periodic forest fires clear away everything that threatens the tree’s survival while ensuring their growth and regeneration. Without the fire’s heat, the sequoia cones couldn’t open and release the seeds.  Without the clearing force of fire, sequoia seedlings would be overcrowded by competing shade trees and not have enough sunlight to grow.In your own life, you can probably think of examples of events that felt like a dream going up in flames but which ended up being the start of something more wonderful than anything you could have imagined.  For instance, being laid off from a job may have led you to take action on a long-held dream of opening your own bakery.  Or going back to school to train in a different field.  Today, as we meditate, remember that from the soul’s perspective, there is no such thing as success or failure.  There is only the present moment which is filled with infinite possibilities. As we prepared to meditate, let’s set the intention to gently acknowledge and release to spirit all thoughts and feelings about our perceived challenges and adversities that do not serve us.  Let’s fill that newly cleared space with love, light and joy.  As we step into this acceptance, and find our resilience, we open to prosperity and our infinite potential.  Now consider our centering thought, A gift resides in every moment.  A gift resides in every moment. Let’s begin. Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.  In this moment, go within.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  Now, gently introduce the mantra, Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself. Om Vardhanam Namah.    Om Vardhanam Namah.  Whenever you feel yourself distracted by thoughts or noises around you, imply return your attention silently to the mantra.  Continue with your meditation for about 20 minutes.  Release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.Approach today with certainty as you contemplate the centering thought,  A gift resides in every moment.  A gift resides in every moment.  A gift resides in every moment.Namaste
Journal Questions:
1.  “Think of a time you felt a dream went up in flames or felt the sting of failure. Take some time to reflect. After considering that experience, write about the things you learned about yourself and life from that challenge. Was there a treasure in disguise, a new opportunity, or new beginning within that experience?”
2.  “During meditation today, we were encouraged to release thoughts and feelings about our perceived challenges and adversities to fill that newly cleared space with infinite love and light. Take some time to fill your cup with possibility–describe your new vision for this day. Open wide, tap into your resilience, positivity, and pure potential.”

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop
to look fear in the face.”
 Eleanor Roosevelt

“Congratulations on completing our first week together! During this past week, we have taken an important journey into better understanding who it is we really are and we have grown in our knowledge of our authentic nature. We have learned to honor our passions and long-held dreams and free ourselves from the limiting thoughts and beliefs that hold us back from living the life of our dreams.

Today, we will take a journey together that will help us as we gently release our fears and embrace a journey on the road less traveled. As we experience this special guided meditation, we encourage you to connect with your True Self and the deep understanding of your abiding relationship with the infinite.”

Mindful Moment“As you prepare for today’s meditation, take a moment to become conscious of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply. Begin to imagine the breath as a tool for cleansing and letting go of all that is not serving you in the moment- a tool which allows you to gently observe the state of your body, mind, and spirit. Conscious breathing is a simple technique to transform and release feelings of fear, anxiety, and tension as you come into the present moment. As Thich Nhat Hanh notes in Peace is Every Step,’
Centering Thought:  “I am free”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “So  Hum.  I am.”
Oprah:  “Welcome to Day 7, Fearless Me.  Here we are already at the end of our first full week together.   We’ve spent this time opening up to the riches that await when we choose acceptance, when we connect with the power of inherent worth, when we let go of struggle and resistance, and trust in Spirit to guide us toward the next right step.  Um – what a gift.  Today, Deepak will take us on a very special journey, clearing our path of fears, helping us move past limiting beliefs and moving toward our authentic beauty and power.  That is the place where our destiny rises.  What you most afraid of?  What is holding you back in life?  We’ll identify the places where fear lives within the body.  In your mind.  And begin to release that which no longer serves us.  Breathing into the wonder and magnificence that is our true reality.  So…find a comfortable place and prepare for a transformational experience as we open more deeply into the now and allow a beautiful path of healing and release to take us toward abundant and fearless possibility.”
Deepak:  “Some of the most spectacular sites to take in are not found on the road most traveled.  In fact, they may require preparation – the clearing of a path both figuratively and literally.  And for some of the most coveted pristine views, those thought of as heaven here on earth, the trusted support of a wise guide to lead the way.  What motivates some to take such a challenge.  Does the witnessing of nature offer the great reward of special insight?  Or is it the process of having an idea that is so intriguing there is a willingness to do whatever it takes to make it happen?  Maybe it is the experience of an epic quest.  A story to tell complete with view and victory.  A memory so vivid it lasts a lifetime.  From vision to victorious completion, this is a trek that quite possibly reveals the very essence of strength and potential that lies within.I invite you to consider taking such a journey with me today.  Is not the destiny you seek  to find during our time together, actually your unique and inherent heaven on earth?  Now is the time to open to the treasure that lies within your soul – your Dharma.  Let’s travel there together as we take a spiritual quest during our meditation time.  Before we begin let’s consider our centering thought… I am free.  I am free.Close your eyes and notice the natural inhalation and exhalation of your breath, feeling the peaceful support of this natural rhythm.  As you breathe in, you become present.  As you release the breath, you gently let go of any tension.  Now let’s beginWith your mind’s eye, envision yourself at the base of a majestic mountain.  As you look up, you see a magnificent peak resting peacefully just above the light and lofty clouds.  A bit of snow sits upon it and you spy waterfalls making their way down the mountainside as the snow melts, pouring into a crystal clear stream.  The sky around the peak is a glorious display of colors.  A full spectrum of inviting purple, pink, gold and deep orange hues.  The sun is rising, delivering a grand procession of warmth and light announcing this new day.  Rising into the sky, the colors intensify, an exquisite symphony for the eyes.  This is heaven on earth.  You feel yourself called to the peak as your inner guide gently encourages you to take the first step.  You can see the delicious experience awaiting you at the top of the mountain and you feel an eagerness to get there, scanning the landscape for a clear path to take.  As you survey your surroundings, you see overgrown vegetation, weeds and wild grass that have overtaken the trail.  Just beneath the weeds, you see what looks to have been, at one time, a traveled path, now abandoned.  You gently pull the weeds and overgrown grass and as you do, you see a paved path beneath, leading toward the top of the  mountain.  You eagerly pull at the weeds to reveal the next step – and the next – one after another.  With every pulling of a weed, you become aware of a gentle voice coming from your inner being, identifying the limiting, untidy and wild thoughts that have blocked your pathway to true freedom, the voice encouraging you to release the with each clearing of the path.  As you continue to pull the vegetation from the ground, you identify a belief that no longer serves you and gently toss the weed to the side.  Knowing it will regenerate itself into the fertile ground, one day resurfacing as a glorious flower.Ahead, you notice a group of rather tall weeds whose presence might lead you to walk around them.  You are guided to make your way through.  You notice the largest one and begin to place your hands around it and from deep within, you hear Spirit ask – what is your greatest fear?  You stop and listen.  What is your greatest fear?  You feel the answer – you know it well, and you know it is time to gently let it go.  As you release this fear from within, the deeply earthed root gently loosens and is freed.  Now, free to move forward you continue to pull the remaining weeds, one by one.  The path clear, you make your way to the top of the mountain. At the peak, you have an immaculate, elevated view of the world.  From this view, you see unspoiled beauty, hope and possibility.  You once again notice the snow,  now beneath you, melting into cascading waterfalls and you consider the nourishment it will provide to humankind, plants and animals.  You recognize that from this clear, uplifted place, all living things downstream are of benefit.  You feel blessed in having discovered this place, and having discovered your true power.  You feel confident, assured, and clear – knowing that all things are possible.  You know you are free.  Free to be, do, or have anything you want.  At this moment, your inner being, Spirit, begins to whisper.  You are free.  You are free.  You are free. With this divine understanding, gently introduce the mantra.  it is the sound, So Hum, I am.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself.  So Hum. S o Hum.  So Hum.  Just silently.  So Hum.  Continue to meditate for about 10 minutes.  Now release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.As you continue with your day, know that as you let go, you open to abundance, to your infinite potential.  You open to your destiny.  Let the song of our centering thought be in your heart today – and all days.  I am free.  I am free.  I am free.Namaste

“Certain things catch your eye, but pursue only those that capture the heart.”
Native American Proverb

“Welcome to the second week of our 21-Day Meditation Experience, Desire and Destiny. Last week, we focused on understanding who we are, connecting with our essential nature and divine essence. Today, as we invite abundance and clarity into our lives we begin to explore what it is we really want in this lifetime, the steps of the roadmap toward our destinies.

We may carry long held ideas that were given to us by others about who we are that influence our perceptions about what we want in life. Today, as we meditate together, give yourself permission to let go as you sink into the meditation. Let your heart and soul speak to you as we travel within to hear our inner song of truth. Breathe deeply and receive. Today is a day filled with transformational opportunity. Today we let our hearts lead the way for all of the answers we seek live within- all we have to do is listen.”

Mindful Moment“Spend some time today closing your eyes, connecting with your heart, and repeating the questions, “What do I want?” “What do I really want?” Be open to whatever answers come to you. After a few minutes, open your eyes and write down what you envision. Look at this list each day before you go into meditation and see how these things manifest in your life.”
Centering Though:  “My heart knows the answer.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  ” Om Varunam Namah – My life is in harmony with the universe”
Oprah:  “Welcome to day 8, What do I want?  And to week 2 of our 21 day meditation experience.  We spent our first seven days together deepening our trust in the possibilities that arise when we let go of fear and resistance and move toward acceptance, embracing the power of our own choices.  That’s big!  And I’m hoping you’re all feeling a difference.  Do you?  Feel a difference?  With our new knowledge and expanded sense of freedom, we now move from preparing for abundance to consciously creating a life aligned with creating our deepest desires, passions and true purpose.  Deepak begins by asking the next important soul question.  What do I want?  That’s a powerful question and he’s going to help us focus beyond the desires of our head, and the ego, to access our deepest and most heartfelt desires.  What do I want?  Those are the desires that, when nourished and cultivated, create a life of purpose and fulfillment of your destiny.  It’s week 2 so you know what’s next.  Unwind, breathe, go within as Deepak helps us listen to our soul’s desire.  And then we’ll meditate.”
Deepak:  “Over our past week together, we embarked on a courageous exploration to examine our perceptions and inner state of being as we identified and released limiting thoughts and beliefs.  Now we stand before an open field of infinite possibility.  It is from this place that we can begin to create a life where our dreams turn into reality.  Our quest this week is to discover and cultivate our true purpose and destiny.  Today, we’ll use our heart, mind and soul to become clear what is truly important so we can begin to pursue these things with intention, focus and awareness. As we make ourselves comfortable for meditation, let’s contemplate today’s centering thought, My heart knows the answer.  My heart knows the answer.  Now please sit comfortably with your hands lightly in your lap.  Gently close your eyes.  Breathe naturally and effortlessly.  Become aware of your body and release any tension you might be holding on to.  As you release and breathe, allow yourself to become calm and peaceful.  Now, silently ask yourself, “what do I want”  what is my deepest most heartfelt desire”.  Give yourself a moment to observe what arises within you.  Many times, when we ask ourselves what we want, our minds and egos may quickly answer and material  objects come into view.  I would like a big house on the beach.   Or, I would like to own a motorcycle.  These desires are not only common, they are perfectly wonderful dreams, dreams that may also contain further insight about our inner truth. If you ask the question again, this time moving from the mind to the heart, you may connect with a deeper meaning.  If the answer that came up for you the first time was, “I would like a big house on the beach”, perhaps when ask from the heart, you’re guided to the place within that seeks to strengthen your connection with nature, or  longs to find a place of quiet and solitude.  If a motorcycle was on your list, you may now be connected to the place in your heart that is craving a sense of freedom.   So let’s ask the question again, moving just a little closer toward discovering what we really want.Place your hand over your heart.  Bring your awareness to the rhythmic flow of your breath.  In and out.  In and out.  Visualize your heart joining in with the natural steady rhythm.  Feel your heart and breath become one.  With each inhalation and exhalation, feel your entire being let go as you gently move deeper into your heart, allowing yourself to rest in what feels like a soft, comforting cloud.  Quietly ask again, “What do I want?”  “What is my deepest, most heartfelt desire?”  Listen carefully to hear the answer that lives within the song of your soul. This song has a vibration that travels through your entire being.  Drink in the resonance of your soul’s response, silently repeating the manta, Om Varunam Namah which means my life is in harmony with the universe.  Om Varunam Namah.  Om Varunam Namah.  Continue to silently repeat the mantra for about 10 minutes.   Then release the mantra and bring your attention back into your body.  Take a moment to rest and breathe.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.Throughout your day, note the desires that come to mind and pay attention to the feelings and deeper meanings that accompany them.  Keep the soul question, “what do I want” as you travel through the week with us.  There is no right or wrong answer.  Awareness of what you really want is what will truly motivate you to seek and fulfill your unique life’s purpose.  Together, let’s repeat today’s centering thought, “My heart knows the answer”.  “My heart knows the answer.  My heart knows the answer.”

Day 9 Focused Me

“We must walk consciously only part way toward our goal, and then leap in the dark to our success.”
Henry David Thoreau

“It’s difficult to arrive at a destination if we don’t know where we are headed. This is equally true for our life’s journeys. In order to realize our deepest desires, we need to identify exactly what we want and stay focused on that intention with single-pointed awareness. At the same time, this practice requires us to let go of attachment to any single outcome, opening us up to abundant possibility.

Today’s meditation centers on bringing our heartfelt desires into crystalized focus and putting our attention on what we envision. In this way, we align ourselves with the universe to reach our intended destination, clear on what we hope to achieve and open to all opportunities that help us realize our dreams.”

Mindful Moment“Before we meditate together, take a minute to notice if you have any attachments, expectations, or fears about your life’s purpose. Just notice and allow yourself to be curious about whatever is present for you in this moment. Inhale deeply from your belly, allowing your breath to carry through your entire being. When you exhale, release anything that isn’t serving you in this moment. Invite your inner knowing to be with you as you meditate today.”
Centering Thought:  “I am focued upon what I want”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Varunam Namah – My life is in harmony with cosmic law”
Oprah:  “Welcome to Day 9, Focused Me.  In the last few days, we’ve begun to explore what do I want.  What do I really want?  Well, the way to truly manifest those deep desires begins with listening, even more carefully, to that loving and loyal voice that all of us carry within us.  Some people call it instinct, other say it’s intuition.  I like to call it my emotional GPS.  Everyone has it.  It is the unspoken intelligence of our heart and soul.  It is the inner wisdom that goes beyond our senses to the every essence of source – with a capital S – and possibility.  That wisdom always knows where to guide us.  If only we’re willing to pay attention.  When we align our calm, determined, open-hearted focus with that source – the source of all things, source energy, we begin to make decisions from a place of stillness and divine design.  The cues are always there – within you – and the miracles await you.  So, open up, get still and listen as Deepak helps us connect with, and trust the intuition, emotional GPS, that enlivens our dreams.  Then we’ll meditate.”
Deepak:  “On the path to manifesting our deepest desires and destiny, we have taken the important first step of getting in touch with our heart’s desires, forming a clear vision of what we truly want to create in our lives and share with the world.  In today’s meditation, we continue to expand our awareness of our infinite potential as we cultivate the  focus and intuition that will help bring our dreams to fruition.   Let’s start with the quality of focus. One of the keys to setting powerful intentions is to focus on what we want rather than on what we don’t want.  We want to generate a field of awareness that feels whole, content and complete.  If you want a new job that allows you to express your creativity while receiving abundant compensation, set that as your goal rather than focusing on what you don’t want.  Whatever we put our attention to will expand in our experience.  So it’s important to focus on what we want to flourish in our lives.  Once we have set clear intentions, we can take steps to bring our vision to life, connecting to the inner wisdom that is both the source and the fulfillment of our desire.  We want to tune into our intuition, the form of intelligence  that goes beyond the rational mind.  Intuition is contextual, relational and holistic.  It is an attribute of our soul and does not have a win/lose orientation.   Our intuition eavesdrops on the mind of the universe, giving us access to an infinite source of possibilities.  When we are tuned into our intuition, we can experience flashes of insight and quantum leaps of creativity that our logical, linear mind cannot make.  We can feel our way through life, trusting our hunches and staying open and flexible rather than rigidly sticking to a plan.Intuition is not a special gift.  We all have intuitive abilities that we can cultivate and use to manifest our desires and fulfill our destiny.  Often, we are unaware of the messages our intuition sends us because it is clouded by our fear and agitation.  In meditation, we go beyond our noisy mental turmoil into inner quiet and stillness.  In the pure clarity of silence, our intuition awakens and guides us into spontaneously making the most evolutionary choices. As we prepare for today’s meditation, bring your attention to your heart and consider our centering thought, I am focused upon what I want.  I am focused upon what I want. Now, let’s begin.  Please find a comfortable position, placing your hands gently in your lap and closing your eyes. In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Now gently introduce the mantra, Om Varunam Namah – my life is  in harmony with cosmic law.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself, Om Varunam Namah.  Om Varunam Namah.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts,  sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra, Om Varunam Namah.  Please continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Now release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.As you continue with your day, carry the sense of inner quiet and expanded awareness with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering though, I am focused upon what I want.  I am focused upon what I want.  I am focused upon what I want.

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” Confucius

“It is not uncommon to set a goal and then push forward with our eyes so fixed on the destination that we become unaware of the terrain on which we travel. Today we will practice navigating the path toward our destination with fluidity and balance, remaining attentive to our goal with present moment awareness. As we do so, we take a powerful step toward realizing our dreams and living our destinies.

In our passionate pursuit of our life’s purpose, our destination, we have the choice to stay present in the now, which increases our awareness of the many supportive cues and opportunities that arise along the path. Staying connected to the present enables us to enjoy every moment of the journey—the people we meet and the experiences we can enjoy with them—enriching us as we live out our deepest, most heartfelt desires.”

Mindful Moment“Sometime today, when you catch yourself projecting into the future, take the time to practice 10 rounds of conscious breathing. Close your eyes and begin to witness the breath as it flows in and out of the nostrils. If it is helpful, count as you practice this, inhaling for a count of five, holding the breath, and exhaling for five. After you repeat this exercise 10 times, notice if you feel more grounded in the present, better able to seize opportunities as they present themselves in the here and now.”
Centering Thought:  “Now is my time.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Vardhanam Namah – I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me”
Oprah:  “Welcome to Day 10, Passionate Me.  What is passion?  The word gets thrown round a  lot.  Well, it isn’t always a fire that blazes hot.  Rather it is the power and joy that gets sparked by being present in every moment.  It’s betting up each day, excited about what lies ahead.  Its about having faith in the unknown, eager to embrace anything that comes our way.  It is loving the journey – the one you’re on right now.  We all set goals and have dreams but true abundance, riches beyond the goals we set for ourselves, exist more profoundly in knowing that this moment – this one, the one you’re in right now – is really perfection.  You are right where you’re supposed to be.  Choosing to embrace the fullness of this moment, finding love and opportunity in where you are, right now, is choosing the most powerful way to live.  It puts each of us squarely in charge of our own journey – and, of course, our destiny.  As William Ernest Henley said in his poem, “Invictus”, I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul”.  Enjoy this moment as Deepak ignites the fire within and prepares us for living life with passion.  Then we’ll meditate.”
Deepak:  “ Each morning that we’re given the chance to admire yet another rising sun, is an extraordinary gift.   From the moment we open our eyes, exquisite blessings surround us, waiting to be witnessed.  All we have to do is gaze upon them.  As the years of life pass, it is quite common to keep our eyes on the horizon.  In our quest to survive and succeed, we look ahead to what is often just out of reach – our next goal, a new career or pay raise we are waiting for, relationships we are dreaming of, maybe even the weekend fun we have planned.  Focused on the destination.A great Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore,  wrote.. “if life’s journey be endless, where is it’s goal?”.  The answer is, it is everywhere.  We are in a palace which has no end but which we have reached.   By exploring it and extending our relationship with it, we are ever making it more and more our own.  Very telling words – that we are in a palace with no end, but yet, we have reached that palace.  It is ours to explore and experience.Regardless of where we are in this journey of life, or where we aspire to be, we are at exactly the place we are supposed to be.  Each choice you have made throughout your life has brought you to where you are today.  This very moment, where absolute perfection lives.  Today, we set the life-changing intention  of finding peace in the moment and loving the journey, the miraculous journey.  This journey can be similar to dancing with a partner.  We take a few steps forward and then back, your eyes taking in all that is around you and then gently closing as you drink in the music and trust the movement of your partner. The most important and magical part of the dance is embracing it’s rhythm.  As you embrace life, knowing that there is really nowhere and yet everywhere to go with your partner’s arm around you.  There is nothing with which to be concerned, your mind absorbed in the wonder of the dance. This life is a great adventure and your partner in this wondrous journey is Spirit.  All the steps, twists and turns may surprise you but when embraced, they keep you excited and interested.  Enjoy the journey, move easily through your days declaring, I can hardly wait for the next turn.  Something wonderful is awaiting me around the bend.  In the words of the American-born author and spiritual teacher, Ram Dass, ‘Be here now.  Love the journey. Love the moment with peace and love.  Just be here now.’As we prepare for today’s meditation, let’s consider our centering thought, Now is my time.  Now is my time. Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.  In this moment, move your attention within.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  Now, gently introduce the mantra, Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.  Now repeat the mantra silently to yourself.   Om Vardhanam Namah.  Om Vardhanam Namah.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts or noises around you, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.  Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Now release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.As you travel through your day, contemplate the centering thought, Now is my time.  Now is my time.  Now is my time.

“Respond to every call that excites your spirit.” Rumi

“Over the past several days, we have defined what we want in life, responded to our heart’s deepest dreams and desires, and opened to the many opportunities that arise in the present moment. Today, we will learn more about developing clear intentions for our lives.

We believe that attention energizes and intention transforms. We are the masters of our own lives, our realities, and the universe offers us what we ask of it. Therefore, as we place our attention on what it is that we want, we set our intentions to orchestrate everything in our lives to help us achieve our goals. As we become receptive in this way, the universe conspires to support our every step.”

Mindful Moment“Before you enter your meditation, take a moment to set one intention for today. Perhaps you would like to share kindness during your travels, or maybe you would like to integrate peace or joy into your day. Take a moment to clearly identify this positive intention. As you close your eyes for meditation, let everything go. In this way, you plant your intentions in the womb of creation and allow the universe to orchestrate the details.”
Centering Thought:  “I create my reality”
Sanskrit Mantra:  ” Aham Brahmasmi – I am the universe.  I am absolute existence.”
Oprah:  “Welcome to day 11, Intentional Me.  Finding our true purpose, or as Deepak calls it, our dharma, it begins with setting an intention for our life journey.  As Deepak often says, attention energizes, intention transforms.  The idea of intention changed my life when I read Gary Zukav’s  book in 1989,  Seat of the Soul.  In it, he says, every action, thought and feeling is motivated by an intention and that intention is a cause that exists as one with an effect.  Your intention is creating your reality.  I just love that.  When we stay present with strength and trust in ourselves and make each choice with intention, we stay aligned with our true power.  When we set our intention to connect with infinite possibility, we open the door to our supreme destiny.  When we plant the seed of intention, we only need to trust and know that when clear and connected to our true purpose, you can surrender all of your fear, all of your anxiety, and settle into the expansive abundance and grace of the universe.  Each experience then contains within it, a sense of awe, of wonder and potential, and knowledge that there is a reason and a divine design to your life.  Simply said, if you can dream it with intention you can do it.  Here we go.  Enjoy a transformational experience with Deepak today.  Then we’ll meditate.’
Deepak:  “At times, our busy lives may seem to get in the way of our dreams.  We may begin to wonder if they will ever come true.  The fact is that our abundant universe holds absolutely nothing back.  It is only when we disconnect or deny our true power, pretending we are anything less than magnificent creators, that we find the doorway to the abundance to life remains closed.  We can, however, set our intentions to  open to our infinite potential and receive as much good, love, peace and joy as we believe we deserve – no more, no less. Our path this week is to identify our deepest desires and learn how to reframe our view as we open to the process of realizing these dreams.  Today we will explore how deliberately increasing our attention on what we want accelerates the manifestation process.  The key to creating the life you want – and deserve – is to be fully aware and fully present in your daily life.  Know that every thought, every feeling, every belief and every action is creating your reality.  Stay awake and aware of your moment-to-moment choices and choose with intention.  Then take the time to dream, seeing and feeling yourself joyfully experience this new reality you have intended. As we prepare for meditation, let’s consider our centering thought.  I create my reality.  I create my reality.  Let’s begin.Find a comfortable position.  Take a deep breath in.  Hold it for just a moment and then let it go.  As you resume your natural breathing, settle into a place of peace, fully here in the present moment.  In your mind’s eye, see yourself lying under an ancient oak tree supported by the strength of the earth and cushioned by a soft patch of cool grass surrounded by colorful wild flowers.  It is a glorious day.  Your eyes are attracted to the sky as you drink in the billowing white clouds passing by beneath the sky’s blue canvas.  It spans as far as the eye can see.  You feel supported and safe as the sun sparkles in between the green oak leaves, showering you with a sense of the magical possibility before you.Watching the clouds changing shape as they gently pass by, begin to consider the things you have identified that you truly want to experience in this life time.  Now, gently close your eyes and take a moment to notice which of those dreams you have the deepest longing for.  Hold that dream at the center of your attention, allowing all other thoughts to melt away.  Take time to picture this dream coming into clear vision.  See the details, noticing who is with you, what is around you, and what you feel like.  Imagine it in full color and dimension.  See yourself right in the middle of this vision, fulfilled.  As you open your eyes, see this vision carried by one of the beautiful clouds.  Watch as the cloud in this beautiful parade of dreams drifts away to the field of all possibilities,  knowing that your vision will, in divine timing, become your reality.  With this blissful vision, a new understanding, gently introduce the manta, Aham Brahmasmi.  I am the universe.  I am absolute existence.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself.  Aham Brahmasmi. Aham Brahmasmi.  Aham Brahmasmi.  Continue to meditate for about 10  minutes.  Then release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply. When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.As you continue with your day, let your awareness  travel to the blossoming dream within your heart.  Let the truth of our centering thought be with you today and all days.  I create my reality.  I create my reality.  I create my reality.

Journal Questions:
1.  “Describe the vision that you sent off to the universe on the billowing cloud during today’s meditation. Take time to write in detail. When our intentions are clear we open the door for the universe to respond”
2.  “Take a moment to consider the feelings and self-talk that comes up when you think bold and dream big. Write down as many of these limiting thoughts and sensations as you can. Let them flow freely until you feel complete. Awareness and intention are powerful. Your dream is far more important than any limiting thought, feeling, or belief–your dream is your destiny. Take time now to write your limiting thoughts and beliefs a letter excusing them from duty. As you do this, replace each limiting belief with an empowered statement that allows the negative to release, opening you to pure potential.”

Day 12 Inspired Me

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Theodore Roosevelt

“When we follow our hearts, we make life choices that seemingly open doors for us without force, we are then aligned with our inner knowing. The path is revealed with ease. Other times, we may “over-think” our decisions, choosing the guidance of the mind over the messages of the heart. We may find that in these moments, our paths become filled with obstacles that hinder us at nearly every turn.

In today’s meditation, we will connect deeply with our hearts, our most trustworthy inner guidance system. As we relax into our heart-center, we access the wisdom of the whole universe and the blueprint for true happiness. The invitation is to silence the chatter, to gently release thoughts, judgments, distractions, and pressures in order to truly hear our hearts’ desires and messages. Only then can we source our inner inspiration and realize not only our dreams, but our destinies.”

Mindful Moment“Gift yourself by dedicating time today to check your “heart center pulse.” Pause several times over the course of the day, place your hand on your heart and breathe. Close your eyes and spend time noticing your natural breath. Feel the easy flow of breath coming in and going out. Stop to feel your heart, allowing your senses to feel the rhythm of your physical heart and the pulse of your intuitive feeling heart. Just feel, connecting with your center, just be.”
Centering Thought:  “I am inspired.  I am unstoppable.”

Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Varunam Namah – My actions are in alignment with cosmic law.”

Oprah:  “Welcome to day 12, Inspired Me.  Now that we’ve opened up to our purpose, passions and intentions – very important word – it’s time to act and begin to understand how our actions impact realization of our dreams. When we force an action in hopes of creating an outcome we desire, we can actually block ourselves from magnificent possibilities.  If an action is born and inspired from the truth of you – from within – it’s coming from an essential and divine place, supported by the energy that helps us effortlessly move toward our destiny.  When we make choices based on out intuition and intention, the source of all knowledge of who we are and what we want from life, we steer from our hearts and we become the co-creators of our destiny.  So breathe, go as deep as you can, and let’s listen to Deepak’s inspired words today.   Today’s meditation will really open you up.”

Deepak:  “Think for a moment about something  you really wanted to happen, one of those times you were so connected to the outcome and passionate about the goal.  Yet every step you took forward, you experienced an obstacle.  You pressed on because your desire was so strong but you just could not shake the struggle.  While you arrived at your desired destination, you suffered some bumps and bruises along the way.  Take a moment to remember how that journey felt.

Now, recall a situation in which you had a goal in mind and very action you took toward it was effortless, comfortable, and easy.  Your inspiration was flowing and the doors just opened, one after the other, the next thing clear – nothing in the way, you just saw it.  You were inspired.  And then took smooth and easy steps toward success.  Your desired outcome was more delicious than you could have imagined.  Now reflect on that experience and what it felt like.

What was the difference?  When we force an action or an outcome, it’s much like when we’re stuck in traffic and we keep moving from lane to lane hoping that we’ll somehow get ahead of it.  However, when we take action that is inspired, we flow through our lives like cars on an open freeway, effortlessly moving toward our desire.

Our bodies give us cues through emotion, when we are forcing something and when we are in alignment with the universe.  It is important that we come to understand what those cues are – really feeling them inside.  Those are our road maps which guide us as we navigate through life.  If it feels right – it is.  If it feels uncomfortable or discordant in any way – it is.  Sometimes we override those emotional cues or feelings in our body that tell us we’re taking a more difficult route by forcing an outcome that we desire.  When that happens, it’s easy to open ourselves to greater problems or block ourselves from being present for something even grander in our lives to unfold.  We often do this because we are comfortable with what our ego minds foresee as right for us while the answer resides within our hearts.   Flowing with life from our heart involves trusting the unknown which can be uncomfortable.  When faced with uncertain choices, check in with your heart.  Is it singing with excitement and joy?  If it is, take action.  On the other hand, if there is confusion, worry or fear, be easy on yourself and wait for the inspiration to come.  Trust in your heart’s wisdom which is that of the universe as your loving and reliable escort to all things wanted.

As we prepare for meditation, consider today’s centering thought, I am inspired,  I am unstoppable.  I am inspired, I am unstoppable.  Let’s begin

Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.  In this moment, let your awareness move within.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  Now, gently introduce the mantra.  Om Varunam Namah which means my actions are in alignment with cosmic law.  Om Varunam Namah.  Om Varunam Namah.  Whenever thoughts enter your mind, you get distracted by something in your environment, or you have sensations in your body, gently go back to silently repeating the mantra.  Om Varunam Namah.  Please continue meditating for about 10 minutes.  Then release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

During your day, think about a specific desire you have in mind and invite divine inspiration to inform your actions as you contemplate our centering thought… I am inspired, I am unstoppable.  I am inspired, I am unstoppable.  I am inspired, I am unstoppable.

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” E.E. Cummings

“When we hold tightly to a goal, we often find it to be elusive. We may say to ourselves, “I want this so badly. I can see my goal. Why can’t I reach it?” The answer lies within the fine art and practice of detachment.

As we detach from the outcome of whatever we desire, we let go and gently surrender to the wisdom of uncertainty, which holds our freedom from the past, the known, and the limitations of any preconceived notions. In our willingness to step into the unknown, the field of all possibilities, we give ourselves over to the creative mind that orchestrates the dance of the universe, trusting that what we desire will come to us.”

Mindful Moment“Take time today to explore the thoughts, feelings, and sensations connected to your experience of letting go. As you travel through the day, practice the fine art of detachment—let life flow. Invite yourself to shift your approach perhaps taking a different route as you make your way to work or school or by staying calm when you might otherwise not. Tune into what it feels like to let go; practice over and over today and see how your body, mind, and spirit begin to shift.”
Centering Thought:  “I believe.  I trust.  I let go.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Bhavam Namah – I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibility”

Oprah:  “Welcome to day 13, Faithful Me.  What a wonderful feeling – when we allow ourselves to simply be who we are.  Today, we honor the freedom to be.  When we accept who we are, just as we are, with trust in the power of source  energy, we take an essential step along the journey to aligning with our true purpose and destiny.  So here’s another thing I know for sure…uncertainty is certain. embracing and flowing with that uncertainty is an essential part of the path to freedom, to peace, to love and abundance in our lives.  And it takes courage to surrender,  to trust in divine timing, to Be in your own flow.  It takes faith and belief to open up and access that which is our deepest truth.  But, when we allow the force of the universe to step in, we access a level of love, strength and abundance that comes from the very capital S source of our being.  The power of that, well…. there really are no words.  So, let’s listen as Deepak guides us to surrender.  Let go to life as it is at any moment, and have faith that no matter what, you will be all right.  Then we’ll meditate.”

Deepak:  “When we embark on the journey to follow our joy and fulfill our destiny, our constant traveling companion, our ego mind, naturally wants to know all of the details ahead of time.   Where exactly are we going and how long will it take?  Will we be safe and comfortable and enjoy ourselves?  Will we succeed in creating our desired outcome?

The ego mind creates certainty and control.  Yet life is inherently uncertain and can’t be controlled.  The good news is that while uncertainty can be unsettling, it is also the source of our greatest joy.  As the spiritual law of detachment states, in order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it.  This doesn’t mean that you have to renounce your desire and live the life of a monk.  Instead, you set your intention, take whatever action is inspired and relinquish your attachment to the result.

In detaching, you affirm your unquestioning belief in the power of your true self which is a divine expression of the universe.  Your true self is the source of all wealth, abundance and everything else in the physical world.  It is the consciousness that knows how to fulfill every need.  When you hold on to your desire with limited awareness of who you really are, you prevent the infinite organizing powers of the universe from bringing it into fruition.  It is like wanting to use the wind to fly your kite but being unwilling to let go of the string.

Remember that if you have been holding on to attachments for a life time, letting go isn’t going to happen in one fell swoop.  Be gentle with yourself and take one step at a time.  By opening yourself to uncertainty, even if just a little bit at a time, you will gradually release any self-imposed limitations and allow your life and journey to unfold in ways more wondrous and fulfilling than you could ever have imagined.  You will come to realize that there is nothing that you can lose that will diminish your wholeness and nothing you can gain that will add to who you are.  You are already whole and so is everyone else.  Hold the intention for everything to work out for the highest good of everyone involved and then let go  and allow opportunities to come your way.

As we prepare to meditate, let’s consider our centering thought, I believe, I trust, I let go.  I believe, I trust, I let go. Let’s begin

Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.  In this moment, go within.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  Now, gently introduce the mantra, Om Bhavam Namah.  I am absolute existent.  I am a field of all possibilities.  Repeat the mantra silently to yourself,  Om Bhavam Namah.  Om Bhavam Namah.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts or noises around you, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.  Om Bhavam Namah.  Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Then release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

As you walk through the day, contemplate our centering thought.  I believe.  I trust.  I let go.  I believe.  I trust.  I let go.   I believe.  I trust.  I let go.

Day 14 Grateful Me

Grandpa Mike and Sydney Sue

“Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer.” Maya Angelou

“Congratulations on completing the first two weeks of our 21-Day Meditation Experience! Spending time in silence is an act of powerful self-nurturance. Through meditation, you are connecting more deeply with your heart, understanding its desires, and clearing a path to realize your dreams.

Today’s meditation focuses on gratitude. When we appreciate all that we have in life, our egos step out of the way, inviting even greater abundance into our lives.

Practicing gratitude for our lives as human beings – for the air we breathe, for our magnificent bodies, and the beauty of being alive – is a wonderful place to start. From this point of view, we can expand our gratitude outward, like ripples in a still pond, appreciating everything and everyone we encounter and those who touch our lives as well.”

Mindful Moment“Set the intention to greet each moment of the day in gratitude. As each encounter and situation crosses your path take time to pay attention to all of the things that you can be grateful for in the moment. May you cultivate the spirit of gratitude with effortless ease and enthusiasm, for as you do so you transform your world.”
Today’s Centering Thought:  Gratitude is my prayer
Sanskrit Manta:  So Hum.  I am
Oprah:  “Once again, we’re at the end of a wonderful week together.  We’re so grateful for this time we’ve shared.  Your participation enriches life for me, for Deepak and for all of us in this global meditating community.  That’s what today’s all about – gratitude.  Welcome to day 14, Grateful Me.  This week, we have harnessed our determination, our passions.  We’ve set our intentions and tapped into our intuition, knowing how important and powerful it is to surrender to the divine design of the universe.  Now it’s time to say Thanks.  Gratitude.  Let me tell you.  It is transformative.  I often quote Meister Eckhart’s powerful thought when he said, If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, that will be enough.  This, I know for sure, sure, sure.  Being grateful is by far the single most powerful thing you can do to change your life.  When you allow yourself to feel gratitude, wherever you are, for whatever is going on in the present moment, in the now, what I promise you is that the spiritual dimension of your life will change.  It will open up and it will expand and you will grow with it.  The more you are grateful for, the more comes for you to be grateful for.  If you want to fulfill your desire and your destiny, start by being grateful.  When we say thank you for what we have, we acknowledge all that the universe has given us and then you’ll begin to see…more shows up.  Now, with Deepak, we’ll take an experiential journey to learn just how appreciation for everything we have transforms us and invites even greater abundance into our lives.  So, get comfortable.  Here we go.”
Deepak:  “This week, on the journey toward living our destiny, we’ve spent time contemplating the question, What do I want, aligning us with a deeper understanding of what we truly want in this lifetime.  Today I invite you to consider the simple practice of gratitude as a transformational act that opens us to infinite abundance, boundless love and carries us to a place of deep peace.  When we can put the stories of our lives on pause for just a moment and marvel in the miracle of this life we are living, we begin to change our entire experience.  Gratitude is the doorway to abundance.  As we invite the energy of gratitude into our daily lives, we become alchemists, turning dark into light, scarcity into abundance, and fear into love. When we focus on the things we are grateful for, we are open and accepting of life as it is –  perfectly imperfect. Therefore, in gratitude, the ego steps out of the way, enabling us to connect more deeply with Spirit, the true self and the source of all those things that have manifested in our lives. The highest level of gratitude is an appreciation for existence itself.   We are each blessed with the opportunity to experience life, each one of us uniquely exquisite, beings with magnificent capabilities.  We feel, we interpret, we create, we ride the waves, we love, we live.  When we silently thank the universe for creating us, just as we are, we realize our own perfection and experience the highest level of gratitude.Spend a moment taking stock of everything in your life that you are grateful for.  At first, you may think of just a few things but as you continue reflecting, you realize there is so much more – the ability to breathe, the experience of your senses, the steady beat of your heart, the love of those around you.  All of these are simple things in life that come to you effortlessly and yet, in many ways, they are miracles that happen over and over each day.  Take a walk and experience nature – wherever you are.  Touch the leaves on a tree.  Run the earth through your fingers and quietly thank earth for the  abundance it provides.  Just the ability to get from one place to another and witness all the beauty along the way is a glorious miracle.Envision and embrace these feelings of gratitude.  See them as a ripple outward like a pebble dropped into a still pond.  As the ripples expand, see them carrying your gratitude as far as the eye can see.  Even further.  Touching the hearts of all humanity. As we prepare for meditation, consider today’s centering thought.  Gratitude is my prayer.  Gratitude is my prayer. Now let’s begin.  Make yourself comfortable, placing your hands gently in your lap with your palms open , closing your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Now, gently introduce the mantra, So Hum, repeating it silently and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, So Hum which means I am.  So Hum.  Now repeat it on your own, just mentally.  Whenever you feel yourself distracted by thoughts in your mind, sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra.  So Hum.  Please continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Now release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.Throughout the day, remember all the things you are grateful for and contemplate the centering thought.  Gratitude is my prayer.  Gratitude is my prayer.  Gratitude is my prayer.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

“Today we delve more deeply into what it means to be of service. When we serve others from a place of love, we are also serving ourselves.

For many of us, when we think of service, we envision great feats, sacrifices, large philanthropic donations, and other grand gestures. While service can be all those things, service can be much more accessible in our daily lives. Giving to others through service is simply recognizing what you do best in any given moment and offering that as a gift to someone else. For instance, in this moment, you may be sitting in a coffee shop across from someone who looks like she could really use a warm smile and, in this moment, you offer a smile in service to brighten her day. Giving can be that simple.

Think about how good you feel when you give someone a gift in this way and notice how serving someone else is a gift to yourself as well.”

Mindful Moment“Let today be your day to share random acts of kindness with generosity and joy. If you encounter someone in need offer a gift from the heart, be it a kind word, a joke, or a cup of tea. Hold the door open for someone, just because. Call a friend and share a kind word. When you are engaged in activity, give your full attention to it, knowing that when you are fully present, you are doing something with love and serving the world with your time and talent. Enjoy the energy that comes back to you as you walk through each moment with a giving and caring heart.”
Centering Thought:  “Serving others serves me.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.
Oprah:  “Welcome to day 15 and the beginning of the final week  of our Desire and Destiny Meditation experience.  During our last 14 days together, we explored the essential soul questions.  Who am I?  What do I want?  With Spirit guiding the way, we were able to connect to the truth of who we really are, and what we most truly seek.  Now, we’re putting all of those pieces together so that we may light up in the fullness of who we are and illuminate the world around us.  Another what I know for sure is this…what we give to others, we give to ourselves.  As far back as I can remember, my prayer has always been the same… Use me God.  Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.  That prayer has led me to this moment.  When we share our unique gifts – however large or small, we create significance.  We complete the circle of our destiny and that not only changes ourselves, it changes the world.  How can I serve?  That is the question all of us has come to ask.  So get quiet, breathe, and let Deepak guide us through the next essential soul question.  And then we’ll do what we do each day…were going to meditate.”
Deepak:  “Who am I?  What do I want? … Two questions that have offered us great insight and opportunity to open to our highest understanding and expression of life.  Now, in our third week together, we begin to step into living our destiny.  Today, we will consider the next soul question on our path – How can I serve? The word service can bring up many thoughts and feelings.  Often it is interpreted as a type of giving that can feel out of reach, like joining the Peace Corps to help people in distant countries, or giving time and money in ways that will change the word.  It can also be connected to thoughts of work, obligation, or one of those things that good people ought to do.  We may begin to believe that service requires self-sacrifice, a great deal of time, unique talent or expertise, perhaps even money.  We may wonder just how we can truly serve the whole world.Martin Luther King Jr offers another way to look at this concept.  Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.  You don’t need to have a college degree to serve.  You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.  Service needn’t be grand gestures; we don’t need to embark on adventures far from home to be of service.  Service in every moment is about understanding our unique talents and using them to bring happiness to others and ourselves.  The universe is all about flow and dynamic exchange – giving and receiving which are simply different aspects of the same flow of energy.  Therefore, when we freely share our gifts with others, we really give back to ourselves.  It feels good to give, and giving also comes back to us from others through appreciation, love, smiles and hugs – the good things of life. Now, let’s look within.  Close your eyes for a moment and ask, How can I serve?  This timeless question has no wrong answer.  It is a question that I encourage you to ask yourself every day.  How can I serve?  Quietly listen for the answer.  How can I serve?  Listen deeply, receive each and every whisper from your soul.  Receive and ask again.  How can I serve?  Once we begin to listen carefully to the answers within, we may be surprised at just how we are meant to serve.  As we listen, we open the door to infinite and abundant possibility.  As you travel through the day, give yourself permission to practice living in the spirit of service.  Perhaps you will hold the elevator door for someone who is rushing to make it in.  Or, you might share a smile with another.  Maybe today you will inquire about a volunteer project you have been thinking about.  We each  have wonderful talents to share with one another.  We can freely enjoy the exchange of gifts, the flow of abundance – with everyone around us in the spirit of service.  So let’s ask ourselves again – how can I serve?  As we settle in for meditation, let’s contemplate our centering thought.  Serving others serves me.  Serving others serves me.Make yourself comfortable with your hands resting in your lap and your eyes closed.  Begin to witness your breath as you inhale and exhale.  Allow your body to relax, releasing any tension you may be holding on to.  Start to introduce the mantra, repeating it silently.  Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.  Om Vardhanam Namah.  If you find yourself distracted by thoughts, noises or sensations in your body, simply go back to repeating the mantra, just silently.  Om Vardhanam Namah.  Please continue meditating for about 10 minutes.  Then let the mantra go and bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.   As you feel ready, open your eyes.Throughout the day consider the flow of giving and receiving and contemplate our centering thought.  Serving others serve me.  Serving others serves me.  Serving others serves me.NamasteJournal Questions:1.  “We reflected deeply on the soul questions “How can I serve?” during today’s meditation. Take time to really explore answers that come through your writing – just write freely.”2.  “What are three specific actions you can take to illuminate the world around you through sharing your unique gifts and talents in service to others?”3.  “What are you grateful for today?”4.  “Reflect further on today’s experience.”

Day 16 Uniquely Me

And each is unique!

And each is unique!

“Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference.”
Jane Goodall

“The expansion of happiness in this lifetime is our birthright. Finding what it is we are meant to do and be and identifying that which brings us the greatest happiness is our highest purpose in life. This is our dharma, our truth and, our destiny. Each moment presents us with a unique opportunity to express ourselves in ways that only we can. When we answer the call of our heart in each moment, we have the opportunity to experience pure joy.

Today’s meditation explores what it means to live our lives blissfully in each moment, understanding that the true reward is not the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but the journey along the rainbow itself.

Allow the bliss of being who you are, living as the unique soul you were born to be, carry you along the path of this lifetime and you will be living your life to the fullest.”

Mindful Moment“Today make a commitment to be who you really are and choose one thing that allows you to express yourself in a way that is like no one else. Sing a song. Paint a painting. Share a heartfelt conversation with a dear friend. Whatever it is that makes your heart sing, choose to engage in one activity that is uniquely yours and enjoy where the journey leads you!”
Centering Thought:  “Bliss be my guide”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Varunam Namah – My life is in harmony with the universe”
Oprah:  “Here we are – day 16, Uniquely Me.  Each of us has a unique essential purpose, if not many purposes to fulfill in this lifetime.  Think of this for a moment – there is no one else on the planet that is here to be who you are – and give what you have to give.  No one else.  Just as your DNA and your fingerprints are uniquely you – so is your life’s purpose – and your life’s purpose is always evolving.  It is not something you create.  It is not some great idea you come up with.  Purpose is there all the time.   And it’s always calling you.  As Kevin Cashman says, ‘Purpose is Spirit seeking expression’.  When we tap into that expression, we find the defining thread running through out life and we integrate all of our life experiences.  When we recognize our purpose and our innate talents and share them freely with one another, we create a world of peace, harmony and love.  We fulfill not only our destiny but we begin to change the world.  That’s how you do it!  By fulfilling your purpose.  So, settle in as we prepare for today’s meditation, listening to Deepak explore, living our unique destiny in each moment.”
Deepak:  “Each of us is a unique strand in the intricate web of life, here to make a unique contribution.  Woven within the very fiber of our being is our divine purpose.  Our distinctive essence waiting, even longing, to be expressed as a gift to the world and ourselves.  I believe that the purpose of life is the expansion of happiness, that when we identify those things that bring the greatest joy to our lives, we are on the trail of discovering this inner truth.According to Guatama Buddha,’your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it’.  When we live in alignment with that true purpose – or dharma – we are happy and create a ripple of good that emanates from within, extending to everyone around us.  Let’s look a little closer.  The concept of divine purpose is more like a winding path along a mountainside, than one specific destination.  There are many views and stops along the way and yet it is always the mountain we are traveling upon. Our essential purpose is always with us and is designed to be revealed and experienced over the course of a lifetime.  This path is our destiny, a collection of meaningful self-expressions that come to us spontaneously – and in the moment, at times; in waves or seasons at other times.  Yet, always present in the expression is the essence of our true selves. So, may be my destiny and true purpose in this moment is to smile at the person I see while on my walk, who looks sad.  It may be to take action on the long time dream I have had to start a business.  It may be to show up as a loyal and supportive friend.  Or even to take a gardening class.  What is your destiny today?  I invite you to spend time contemplating your destiny.  Observe and listen to the cues your heart gives you.  Give yourself permission to express your dharma and destiny.  Shine your unique light freely.  You’ll be surprised how beautifully the path of your life will unfold for you.  As Joseph Campbell once said, ‘Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors that were only walls’.As we settle in for meditation, we’ll focus on our centering thought, Bliss be my guide.  Bliss be my guide.  Now, as you take your comfortable seat with your hands on your lap and your eyes closed, as we do each day, begin to pay attention to your breath.  Allow the sensation of relaxation to wash over your body and release any stress and tension as best you can.  Silently introduce the mantra, repeating it effortlessly.  Om Varunam Namah.  My life is in harmony with the universe.  Om Varunam Namah.  If you get distracted by any thoughts, noises or feelings of discomfort in your body, simply go back to repeating the mantra silently to yourself, Om Varunam Namah.  Continue meditating for about 10 minutes.  Release the mantra and come into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, you can open your eyes.Throughout the day, think about what it is you love to do and contemplate our centering thought, Bliss be my guide.  Bliss be my guide.  Bliss be my guide.NamasteJournal Questions:1.  “There is no one else on the planet that is here to be who you are and give what you have to give. Describe the qualities, gifts and talents that make you unique.”2.  “We learned that our divine purpose is ever evolving throughout our lives. What do you believe your divine purpose is in this moment?”3.  “What are you grateful for today?”4.  “Reflect on today’s experience.”

Day 17 Inspirational Me

"Sharing a Story" www.sfago.com Sharon Abbott-Furze

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” Albert Einstein

“Think about the people and experiences that truly inspire you. What is it about them that makes you feel this way? For many of us, we are inspired when we feel something we have never felt before. We feel uplifted when we gain a new insight that changes our perspective completely and when we learn something new that forever transforms us.

Each of us has that power to inspire another. Within all of us lies a wonderful teacher, a soul that greatly inspires others to seek the highest good and to engage fully in life, merely by expressing your authentic self. Embrace that inner teacher and know that you have something very valuable to offer everyone around you. Share your lessons freely and receive wisdom from others with openness, joy, and love.”

Mindful Moment“Today recall a teacher who really inspired you. Perhaps this individual was a person who taught in a classroom, but perhaps it was someone else—a grandparent, a neighbor, or an athletic coach. Take time today to reflect on the ways that this person transformed how you saw the world, then without over-thinking it, consider how you can offer something of yourself to others so that they too can be inspired.”

Centering Thought: “I embrace the teacher within.”

Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Varunam Namah – My life is in harmony with the universe”

Oprah:  “Welcome to day 17, Inspirational Me.  There is an ancient buddhist quote which says, ‘When the student is ready, the teacher will appear’.  Well think about that.  We are all students and teachers in this earth school.  Everything in our lives shows up and is here to teach us more about ourselves.  Everybody we encounter is really a mirror – a reflection of a part of who we are.  And within each of us is a teacher – someone who inspires, listens and reflects, who demonstrates by their very being, something from which others can grow.  Each moment in life is a teaching moment and when we engage with one another, we become vehicles of life’s important lessons – large and small.  If we stay mindful, respecting and embracing the teacher within and remaining open to the teacher who lives in others, we find yet another path to living most fully, to receiving most abundantly, and to fulfilling a part of our most sacred destiny.  So, today, honoring that every moment is a moment to learn, and to teach, let us larn from Deepak as he guides us to the still space.”

Deepak:  “Within each of us dwells a teacher with the power to deeply inspire.  The word inspire comes to us from the Latin word, inspirare, which means divinely breathed into.  When we live our lives connected to our inner truth and  unique destinies, we serve as models and teachers, true inspirations to everyone we meet.  Each of us, through our being, words and actions, has the ability and opportunity to divinely breathe the essence of the true self into one another.

Recognizing this power to inspire, we begin to connect with the teacher that resides not only in us but also in those who cross our paths.  We open ourselves to learning from everyone we encounter, most often our teachers appear to us quite obviously and we are quick to recognize the wisdom they impart.  At other times, our teachers can show themselves completely in disguise.  For example, when we silently witness an encounter with an unpleasant neighbor or motorist on the freeway, we realize that they too have something to teach us.  They  have simply shared their lessons in ways we don’t expect.

Each moment in life offers us an opportunity to learn and expand.  As we choose to conduct ourselves as teachers in this lifetime, embracing our true and divine responsibility to our fellow human beings, and ourselves, we see the value of aligning our lives with Spirit and following our bliss.  In choosing to be humble teachers, open to the flow of learning as well as selflessly teaching by joyous example, we are shining lights of all that is good, and wellsprings of inspiration for others.

As we settle in for meditation, let’s consider the centering thought.  I embrace the teacher within.  I embrace the teacher within.

Please get seated comfortably.  Place your palms up or down on your lap and close your eyes.  Inhale and exhale slowly and deeply and feel your body gently relax.  Begin to introduce the mantra, repeating it mentally, Om Varunam Namah.  My life is in harmony with the universe.  Om Varunam Namah.  If you get distracted by any thoughts, noises or feelings of discomfort in your body, simply go back  to repeating the mantra silently to yourself.  Om Varunam Namah.  Om Varunam Namah.  Continue meditating for about 10 minutes.  Now release the mantra.  Bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, you can open your eyes.

Throughout the day, think about what it is you love to do and contemplate the centering thought, I embrace the teacher within.  I embrace the teacher within.  I embrace the teacher within.

Namaste,

Journal Questions:

1.  “Who is someone you consider a significant and meaningful teacher in your life? What important teachings did you receive from them? How has crossing paths with this person influenced how you live and share with others?”

2.  “How are you a teacher in your life? If you feel like you are not a teacher, take a deep breath, connect with your heart for a few minutes and then ask yourself that question again. Maybe you teach the fine art of being light-hearted, or through your loyal friendship, perhaps you teach others by daring to authentically speak your truth. Take your time and write the many ways you are teaching others by just being you.”

3.  “What are you grateful for today?”

4.  “Reflect further on today’s experience.”

Day 18 Creative Me"Opening Night" www.sfago.com Sharon Abbott-Furze

“If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint and that voice
will be silenced.”
 Vincent Van Gogh

“How often have you had the experience of struggling to remember a person’s name only to have the name effortlessly revealed to you when you were engaged in something entirely different? The same thing happens when we wrestle with our minds for ideas or solutions. Once we let the challenge go and engage in something that frees our minds, the lightning bolt strikes!

This is the value of play. Play opens the pathways for creativity to flow freely. When we are engaged in play, we connect with the heart, rather than leading with our minds. As we access the essence of pure potentiality, transformative ideas and solutions come to us spontaneously, and we are boundlessly creative.”

Mindful Moment“Take some time today to engage in a playful activity that you really enjoy. Challenge some colleagues to a pickup basketball game at lunch or after work. Walk with your friends, or dip your feet into the office-park fountain. Whatever you choose to do, allow yourself to enjoy the freedom of playfulness and notice what unfolds.”
Centering Thought: “I play.  I create.  I succeed”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Bhavam Namah – I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibilities.”
Oprah:  “Welcome to day 18, Creative Me.  Just as we all have a teacher within, within each of us is an artist.  A dreamer.  A creator.  Creative inspiration, truth and destiny are all revealed when our lives are in balance and in flow.  Giving yourself permission to rest, play, to let your heart and mind rejuvenate is a must in order to realize your greatest potential. Its when we let go, absorbed in a moment of pure play, relaxation, connection with nature, laughter, life or people, that the messages of the universe rise up to meet us.  When we become open and receptive, we create pathways where there were once closed doors.  There is so much power in knowing that our lives are ours to co-create.  So take a deep breath and relax into today’s mediation as Deepak encourages us to cultivate our creativity through pure, simple joy.”
Deepak:  “Rest and play are not luxuries.  It is part of our destiny to simply be.  It is becoming more understood that play, rest, rejuvenation and celebration cultivate and inspire some of our best ideas.  When we are relaxing and playing, we are engaged in the here and now and more open to the ideas that come to us from pure consciousness.  When we let go and have fun, we release all sense of ego and all the ‘shoulds’ that can creep into our lives.  Opening the door for the creative spirit to flourish.Play is so important in helping us find our true purpose in life.  When we dance through life like children, engaged in activities that truly delight us, we open our minds and hearts to the essence of pure consciousness.  When we play, we lose all track of time and are absorbed completely in the present moment.  Our best creative ideas come to us when we are delighted.  Our minds are free to roam and explore.  We are wide open and the world is at our feet – ours to enjoy.Rest is equally important.  As a society, we tend to be chronically sleep deprived and sometimes even proud of it since it indicates a busy life and total dedication to our work.  But true dedication requires balancing the brain for optimal performance which includes rest in the form of sleep, and spending time in meditation.  Connecting with the stillness of meditation, playfully engaging with nature, life and those around us, and making sure that we get adequate sleep are the perfect recipe for self care.  These practices recharge and revitalize us, paving the way for creative inspiration and truth to enter our lives. As we settle in for meditation, let’s consider the centering thought, I play, I create, I succeed.  I play, I create, I succeed. Please take a comfortable seat and close your eyes.  Place your palms up or down on your lap, inhale and exhale slowly and deeply and feel your body relax.  Begin to introduce the mantra, repeating it mentally.  Om Bhavam Namah.  I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibilities.  Om Bhavam Namah.  When you feel distracted by thoughts, noises or sensations in your body, just go back to repeating the mantra silently to yourself.  Om Bhavam Namah.  Continue meditating for about 10 minutes.  Then release the mantra and become aware of your body. Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, you can open your eyes.Throughout the day, pay attention to how your body feels, taking adequate time for self care and focus on our centering thought.  I play, I create, I succeed.  I play, I create, I succeed.  I play, I create, I succeed.NamasteJournal Questions:1.  “How do you like to play? What are the activities that are fun and exciting for you? How do they make you feel? Perhaps there is something fun and exciting that you have been longing to try. Consider scheduling that activity into your week.”2.  “Write yourself a self-care plan for this week. How can you take good care of yourself? What things can you plan to incorporate into your week that nourish and fuel you?”

3.  “What are you grateful for today?”

4.  “Reflect further on today’s experience.”

Day 19 Blissful MeBlissful Me

“Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.” Mother Teresa

“Today we will spend time reconnecting with our true bliss, that part of ourselves that many of us will best remember from childhood. Think about what it was that brought you the greatest joy, that made time fly, and that you could do forever without a care in the world. That is bliss.

While our childhoods may be behind us, our opportunity to reconnect with our bliss is right in front of us, ours for the taking. When we find ourselves engaged in the activities and with the people who make our hearts sing, we are grounded in the present and deeply connected to pure Spirit.”

Mindful Moment“Spend a moment today connecting with bliss in an everyday moment. When you are eating a meal or taking a shower, practice acute mindfulness and allow yourself to experience this activity with all of your senses. Do this as slowly as you can, delighting in the smells, tastes, textures, colors, and sounds. What do you notice? Note how you feel after you spent time in this way. How does bliss feel in your body? “
Centering Thought:  “Joy is my highest purpose.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Sat Chit Ananda – Existence, Consciousness, Bliss”
Oprah:  “Welcome to Day 19, Blissful Me.  Perhaps the most universal urge that we all share is to be happy.  When we connect to our true purpose in life, to what we’ve come to the planet to do, we get to live our lives in service and bliss.  What does that mean – to truly feel blissful in our lives?  Bliss is an all encompassing state that we all have access to at all times.  It is the holding space for joy – or happiness – and peace inside us all.  When we lay down the burden of trying to be anything other than exactly who we are, bliss comes to us effortlessly. When we identify and  follow what makes us happy, we understand our highest purpose and abundance in all forms comes back to us when we accept that purpose, follow our unique path and share our gifts whole-heartedly.  Be in bliss, delight, in stillness, and let Deepak guide us in today’s meditation.”Deepak:  “Nothing is more important in life than reconnecting with our bliss.  Nothing is as rich.  Nothing is as real.  So what, exactly, is bliss.  Spiritually, bliss is considered to be an infinite state that lives within each of us at all times.  When cultivated, it can be experienced outwardly through happiness and laughter, and also as a quiet sense of deep calm, stillness and peace inside.  What does it mean to reconnect with our bliss?  Noted author, JK Rowling said of herself, ‘the idea of just wandering off to a cafe with a notebook and writing and seeing where that takes me for awhile is just bliss’.  Spending time going within ourselves to find those things that bring us deep joy helps us rediscover those activities that make us happy at our very core and are our real purpose for living.  This knowingness is bliss.  What is your bliss? What is it that you love to do that it gives you so much joy that time simply flies and your heart takes wing.  When we reconnect with our bliss, we are truly in the present and tap into pure consciousness.  Experiencing Spirit in this way, we feel abundant love and happiness. We can’t help but want to share this joy with others.  When we are happy, we are delighted to use all that we have to serve the world.  As we bring happiness and abundance in to the lives of everyone that we meet, that happiness, success and abundance come back to us like ocean waves, gently rolling out to sea and rushing  back to shore.  When we live our lives in bliss, in harmony with the universe, a world of infinite possibilities opens to us.  And abundance is our natural reward.  We realize that what we have been born to do, what makes us happiest, is also the best way to joyfully serve everyone around us, which brings us every good thing in life.As we begin our meditation, contemplate today’s centering thought, Joy is my highest purpose.  Joy is my highest purpose.  Now get comfortable and  close your eyes.  Relax your hands and your whole body as you bring your attention to your breath.  Start to introduce the mantra, repeating it silently to yourself.  Sat Chit Ananda. Existence, consciousness, bliss.  Sat Chit Ananda.  If thoughts, noises, or sensations in your body distract you, just gently go back to repeating the mantra.  Just mentally.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Please let the mantra go and bring your awareness into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  As it is comfortable for you, open your eyes.Throughout the day, pay attention to your thoughts around the blissful nature that is you and focus on our centering thought.  Joy is my highest purpose.  Joy is my highest purpose.NamasteJournal Questions:

1.  “We are each unique and experience the world our own way. Take time to write about what bliss looks and feels like to you. Describe a time in your life when you felt bliss.”

2.  “How can you cultivate bliss in your life today?”

3.  “What are you grateful for today?”

4.  “Reflect further on today’s experience.”

Day 20 Visionary Me"Peter"

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Helen Keller

“When we think of networking, we likely see ourselves at a cocktail party, handing out business cards, meeting new acquaintances, and sharing a little bit about ourselves. But networking from a spiritual perspective is something quite different.

As we spend more time in stillness and align ourselves with intuition, we understand our roles as visionaries and are eager to connect with everyone around us in an entirely new way. Instead of “getting out there” in order to make something happen, we embrace opportunities to venture out because we want to meet new people, experience things we have never done before, and share what we have learned with everyone we meet.

All of us are visionaries with something to share. Connecting fulfills us and enables us to help others find fulfillment as well.”

Mindful Moment“Make a point today of reaching out to someone you have never had a conversation with before. For instance, there may be someone in your office to whom you’ve offered a polite greeting every day but never learned his name. Take a few minutes and talk to this person; get to know him or her and share something about yourself. Notice how much richer your life feels after you have enjoyed this person’s company.”
Centering Thought:  “The world is waiting for my vision.”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Aham Brahmasmi – I am the universe”
Oprah:  “Welcome to day 20, Visionary Me.  In our last three weeks together, we’ve awakened to who we really are, to what we deeply want, and to the truth of our highest purpose.  All of this insight and energy needs one more spark to truly light up and manifest our destiny.  That spark comes from action, from connection and communication.  Everything I know is better when you share it.  And our destinies are richer when we are connecting to others.  Asking for what you want, sharing more freely of what you know, building on the co-creative power of spirit – these steps move us from holding a dream in our hearts – to actualizing it as part of our destiny.  What we speak comes to life, sparking collaborative potential, inspiring creative ideas, igniting possibility and opening the door for divine purpose to enter.  When we share, we step into certainty and move one step closer to our destiny.  I’m excited, as I know you are to, as we listen to what Deepak share about how our words inform our action and empower our intentions to the universe.”
Deepak:  “In the stillness of meditation, during our journey together, we have become more connected to who we really are, our true self,  our spirit.  As our self-awareness expanded, we began to see with clarity what we truly want and increase understanding of our divine purpose, our destiny.  Today, we will explore that there is another step required to truly activate and call in the manifestation of our destiny.   It is the action of connection and communication. It is through our willingness to communicate and share ideas, perspective and vision with others that we grow more comfortable being in, and speaking our truth.  We begin to let our guard down and sincerely ask what we want and need, and we give more freely, recognizing that we are all interconnected in consciousness. With little effort, staying present with one another, and being ourselves, we start to recognize common personal and professional interests.  Inspiration seemingly comes out of nowhere and new opportunities spontaneously arise.  Through this purest level of connection, new ideas roll in.  Now, more connected with our intuition, we are pointed in the direction of where to  go and whom to meet.Sometimes, just going to what seems like and everyday place, to a party or a park, puts us in the most interesting space, giving us a spark of an idea, or a human connection that leads us further down the path of manifesting a long-held dream.  We have gifted ourself with an authentic platform to share our vision, and as we courageously share, we receive support, inspire others, discover unexpected connection and new ideas, and we begin to live in the energetic flow of our destiny.  Together, in community.  This understanding puts an entirely new twist on the idea of networking.  No longer do we feel the need to get out there because we should make connections in order to succeed.  Instead, we want to be out there because we can’t wait to be in conversation about our vision and enjoy the camaraderie of our fellow human beings and the real excitement of life.So while we’ve emphasized the importance of spending time in stillness is in our daily lives, pay attention to how that stillness informs action, honor the transformations you experience, and the new relationships you create and you begin to live your life more fully as the beautiful being you were born to be.  Today, I invite you to speak freely about what your vision and your dreams.  The spoken word is a powerful tool and by strengthening your voice, you expand your dreams from internal thoughts to external possibilities. laying the groundwork for divine purpose to manifest.  Know that by being in conversation, by verbalizing your desires out loud, you are empowering your intentions to the universe. As we begin our meditation, contemplate today’s centering thought, The world is waiting for my vision.  The world is waiting for my vision.

Please get comfortable.  Sit with your hands in a relaxed position and release any tension in your body.  Begin to witness your breath, slowly inhaling and exhaling, inhaling and exhaling.  Begin to silently repeat today’s mantra, Aham Brahmasmi.  I am the universe.  Aham Brahmasmi.  As thoughts enter your mind, if you near noises, or feel sensation in your body, remind yourself of the mantra, repeating it effortlessly.  Aham Brahmasmi.  Continue with your meditation for about 10 minutes.  Then release the mantra and bring your attention back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  When you feel ready, you can open your eyes.

Throughout the day, embrace who you are as you consider our centering thought, The world is waiting for my vision.  The world is waiting for my vision.  The world is waiting for my vision.

Namaste

Mindful Moment“Continue to focus on the many people and things that bring you joy in this life. Your true destiny is bliss and joy, as it is for everyone around you. Spend time contemplating the many lessons you have learned on our journey together and see how they can help manifest joy in your life and in the lives of everyone you meet. As you make your way through your day today allow yourself to share your smile with others freely. Be the ripple of positivity and light that will change the world.”
Centering Thought:  “My destiny is joy”
Sanskrit Mantra:  “Om Bhavam Namah – I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibilities.”
Oprah:  “Here we are already. Hard to believe!  21 days have gone by so quickly.  Day 21, Extraordinary me.  Deepak and I are so grateful that you chose to stay with us, exploring your inner truth, allowing your deepest desires to emerge and guide you toward your true destiny.  Joy.  It’s been an extraordinary journey.  Each one of us is extraordinary with wondrous dreams and desires designed to help us fulfill our unique purpose in this lifetime – which can evolve and change over time.  Each of us has the divine potential to realize a magnificent destiny – all our own, by following and living our joy.  As you dream a bigger dream for yourself, my greatest hope is that you continue to find stillness within.  This I know for sure…fore sure.  Giving yourself that space and quiet will lead you to even more miraculous dreams, more joy, more possibility, and a supreme destiny beyond your greatest imagination.  Nothing is too extraordinary to be achieved.  If you can dream it, and your intentions are pure, you can be it, and be of service in sharing it with the world.  What a gift for us.  What a gift for you.  Thank you.   And you now what to do.  Let’s get comfortable once more.  Breathe, relax, listen to Deepak and share stillness together.  Namaste.”
Deepak:  “Congratulations on completing this magnificent 21 days together.  You know now that within you, you have all the tools you need to access your pure potential, to evolve your dreams into reality, and to live a life of extraordinary design.  We have learned so much during our 21 days together.  Now is the time to take your chance as you reach for the stars.  It is your destiny.
Right now, imagine something that you have always wanted but perhaps thought impossible.  That one idea that you keep tucked away, perhaps with such care that you have not even dared to speak it aloud.  Yet, you hold on to the dream because it resonates so deeply within you.  Close your eyes and see it.  Really see it.  Envision that you are living this dream right now.  It is your life.  No cutting corners, no holding back.  Your deepest dream in motion. What is your life like?  How do you feel?
As humans, we have the remarkable ability to transform all that we imagine into reality.  Understand that if a deep desire lives in your heart, a dream that is part of your soul’s fiber, a path exists to bring it to life. Abundance in all it’s forms is our birthright.  We were born to enjoy every aspect of life, to experience every emotion, and to discover the seeds of potential that live within.  As you practice trusting that the universe is always there to support you, I invite you to continue stepping into your greatest self, to experience everything there is to know, confident in the knowledge of who you really are – a radiant spirit worthy of everything life has to give.  See yourself united with the unlimited potential dwelling within you, and every one and everything that is part of the universe.  From this place of unlimited potential, give yourself permission to dream big.  Tap into that vast reservoir of courage that is available to all, as you move through and well beyond your comfort  zone into the space of infinite joy, peace and possibility.  As you embrace life with passion, seize each wonderful moment and make the most of each adventure.  Be rooted in the knowledge that you’re as mighty as the universe itself, full of love, joy and power.  You are star dust, a bright, golden light and all good things of this lifetime are indeed your divine destiny.
Before we begin today’s meditation, consider the centering thought, My destiny is joy.  My destiny is joy. Please be seated comfortably, relaxing your hands and your body.  Breathe effortlessly and easily and release whatever tension you feel.  Begin to repeat today’s mantra, just mentally.  Om Bhavam Namah.  I am absolute existence.  I am a field of all possibilities.  Om  Bhavam Namah.   When you’re distracted by thoughts, noises, or sensations in your body simply return to the mantra.  Om Bhavam Namah.  Continue meditating for about 10 minutes.  Then let the mantra go and become aware of your body.  Take a moment to rest, breathing with ease.  When you feel ready, you can open your eyes.
Throughout the day, envision yourself as the powerful being you are and think about our centering thought, My destiny is joy.  My destiny is joy.  My destiny is joy.  Namaste.”

Mindful Moment

“Today as you enter the stillness and silence of meditation, hold the intention that everyone in the world will realize abundance. Consider the many gifts you have to offer and do so freely while accepting gifts from others with gratitude, love, and joy. In this way, we enter the dynamic flow of the universe and share the experience of pure Spirit with our fellow human beings around the globe.”

Centering Thought:  “Love and abundance for all”

Sanskrit Mantra:  “Yum.  Opens the heart chakra – activating peace, harmony and love”

Oprah:  “We’re back for one more day – our thank you and our gift to you, our meditating friends around the globe.  Each day together has allowed us to expand in our essential connection to ourselves and to the power of source.  Today, we join our hearts and minds together to offer a united energy to the world, in wisdom, in acceptance, in trust.  So let us set a global intention and release it into the universe.  With this meditation, we continue to move toward a shift in our collective consciousness…to divine essence, to each other, and to a shared destiny of kindness and grace.  So get comfortable one last time and let us join our hearts, our spirits together, listening as Deepak guides us in a beautiful visualization of peace, unity for our world.”

Deepak:  “Welcome back.  This day is a gift for you – our global community.  It certainly is a gift to us to have been able to take such an amazing journey with you and to have one more day together through which we can share our joy with the world.

Our meditation today focuses on peace, harmony, laughter,  ove and well-being, the simple yet precious gifts of abundance that we can enjoy with and intend for our families, friends, neighbors and everyone around the globe.

Please begin by taking a comfortable seat and closing your eyes.  Turn your attention to your heart center.  Repeat these intentional words as today’s centering thought.  Love and abundance for all.  Love and abundance for all. Envision a beautiful white light emanating from your heart, this place of pure love, peace and joy.  Take a moment to be with this warm, expansive, healing light.  Feel it expand within each and every cell of your body as if nectar from the heavens is traveling through your being, filling you with the most blissful sense of peace and well-being.

Picture at the center of your now light-filled being within your heart, one of the special gifts that you have been placed on earth to offer the world.  It is dazzling in its brilliance, radiant with possibility.  Now imagine you’re a part of a vast circle that includes everyone else on the planet and everyone in that circle is also connecting with his or her inherent light as they visualize the divine treasure they have to share.  You gaze upon the light of each and every person as far as your eyes can see.  As you look a little deeper, you see and sense the bountiful gifts that are in the hearts of all the people, gleaming and golden, just waiting to realize their destiny, to be expressed and received lovingly, to elevate the vibration of peace and well-being for all.

You now hold your unique gift – your beautiful light in your hands.  Feeling the warmth, you tenderly turn to your right and gently offer it to the person beside you.  You feel completely received as your gift is accepted with honor, grace and gratitude.  With reverence, you turn to your left and openly accept into your heart, the gift that your neighbor is generously giving you.  Whatever that gift may be – a smile, a joke, or a warm embrace, you accept it and receive it in your heart with deep gratitude.  As you drink in the light and love, you turn back to the person on your right and share this blessing with that person, basking in the beauty and flow of the gifts being expressed, shared and received, one after another, you know that the circle is indivisible and the abundance is endless, delight in the knowing that the gift you are sharing is divine, infinite and eternal.

Brimming with this joyful expansion, clasp the hands of those next to you and enjoy the warm glow of peace and love that comes from freely sharing what we are on earth to offer.  Know that when we remove judgement, replacing it with heartfelt appreciation and generosity, we become one with the power of pure Spirit, making all things possible.   Send these feelings of peace, love, equanimity and joy to those in your life and those around the world who may be experiencing turmoil and pain.  Visualize the good feelings that you hold in your abundant heart, swaddling in a warm, soft blanket those who most need your gifts of peace and love, uniting everyone together as one.  See each and every heart and soul on our beautiful planet receiving peace, healing and abundance.

As you continue with your eyes closed, gently introduce the manta, repeating it silently to yourself.  Yum.  Yum.  Yum.  This is the mantra that opens the heart chakra offering peace, harmony, light and love to reawaken in the heart of everyone around the world.  Yum.  Yum.  Yum.  Remember that when you are distracted by thoughts, noises or sensations in your body, go back to silently repeating the mantra.  Yum.  Yum.  Yum.  Continue to meditate for about 10 minutes.  Then release the mantra and bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to pay attention to the breath.  When you feel ready, open your eyes.

Thank you for sharing your abundant gifts with us and with everyone around the world.  Know that while our circle is now open, it lives on in our intention, reaching each person on our planet and filling him or her with love and light.  This wonderful journey has enriched all our lives and I am deeply grateful to have shared it with you.  I hold this heartfelt intention for you and our sisters and brothers around the globe.  Love and abundance for all.  Love and abundance for all.  Love and abundance for all.

I believe.  I trust.  I let go.  I believe.  I trust.  I let go.   I believe.  I trust.  I let go.

‘I am my deepest desire’.
Take each step along the way today, envisioning yourself as the divine being that you are, and contemplate our centering thought,  ‘I am my deepest desire’.  ‘I am my deepest desire.’  ‘I am my deepest desire.’

Abundance – Choprah 21 Day Meditation Challenge

Do you know you can still purchase Deepak Chopra’s Creating Abundance  at http://www.chopracentermeditation.com?

Day 1 – The Reality of Abundance

Today’s Centering Thought:  “Today, I behold all the abundance that surrounds me.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  So Hum

“Welcome to Day 1.  Welcome to the Chopra Center 21 Day Meditation Challenge, Creating Abundance.  We are very happy you have decided to embark upon this journey into stillness and silence to experience authentic abundance consciousness.  Over the next three weeks, we will focus on the different aspects of abundance.  In our first week, preparing for abundance, we will consider the promise for unlimited potential.  During this time, we learn what true abundance is; the infinite source from which it springs, how consciousness and the mind affect it’s flow, and how we can more deeply understand that abundance is a divine right bestowed upon each and every one of us.

During our second week, we’ll show how abundance relates to the seven spiritual laws of success beginning with the law of pure potentiality – what exactly is possible, and ending with the law of dharma – how to increase abundance in our lives by serving humanity with our unique skills and talents.

In our third week, we’ll contemplate the practical aspects of abundance through living in abundance, our natural state of being.  During this time, we’ll explore the concept of synchrodestiny, consciously manifesting our destinies by harnessing the power of intention and meaningful coincidence.  We’ll also discuss the importance of living gratefully in a manner that is carefree and with love and in unity to create an environment of abundance around us.

so as we begin, let’s ask ourselves, “What is true abundance?”  True abundance is the experience through which all of our needs are easily met and our desires spontaneously fulfilled.  We know true abundance when we feel joy, health, happiness, a sense of purpose and vitality in every moment of our existence.  An overflowing fullness that infuses every facet of our lives.

We never need to seek abundance, we simply need to notice and open up to what is already there and allow the bounty of the universe to flow through us.  Each of us experiences abundance every day in the unbounded joy of a child, the  bright sunlight that fills the room as you open your eyes to a new morning, the many friends and family who are always there for you.  Nature, too, reflects abundance in all it’s glory – vibrant fields of wild flowers, majestic mountain peaks, lush and fragrant forests, and the wildlife that thrives on our planet.  All of these gifts that nature provides to us in every moment are examples of true abundance.  It is impossible to count the grains of sand in one inch of the shore, or the twinkling stars that fill our night skies.  Even our own bodies, composed of the same molecules that make up the entire universe contain billions of cells.  In nature, the universe, and even within us, there is no such thing as scarcity or lack.

Now that you possess this knowledge, you can live the concept of unlimited abundance, knowing that the desires of your heart are always available provided you are open to receiving them and sharing your gifts with the world.

At some point today, take time to witness examples of abundance within and all around you.  You will see the myriad riches the universe offers us in every moment, and begin to experience true abundance consciousness.

As we prepare to meditate together, let’s take a moment to focus on today’s centering thought, “Today I behold all the abundance that surrounds me”.  “Today, I behold all the abundance that surrounds me.”

Let’s begin our meditation to connect with the source through which all abundance flows.  Find a comfortable position, placing your hands lightly in your lap palms upward and close your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Now gently introduce the mantra, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, So Hum.  So Hum.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or noises in the  environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra.  So Hum.  Continue with your meditation for about 5 minutes.  So Hum.  So Hum.  Now silently in the mind.

Release the mantra.  Bring your awareness back into your body.  Take  a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  As you continue with your day, carry this new understanding of true abundance with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “Today I behold all the abundance that surrounds me”. “Today I behold all the abundance that surrounds me.   Today, I behold all the abundance that surrounds me.”

Day 2:  The Source of all Abundance

Today’s Centering Thought:  “I create my  personal abundance from an infinite source.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  Aham Brahmasmi

Welcome to day 2.  All material creation, everything we can see, touch, hear, taste and smell, is made from the same stuff and comes from the same source.  While we may refer to the source by different names – God, a Higher Power, The Holy Spirit, or perhaps the Cosmos, this source is the entire universe, the unified field  -everything that is beyond the perception of the five senses.

The key to living an abundant life is to embrace the idea that abundance comes from this unified field.  Within it lies the power of infinite creativity just waiting for your call.  Whether you desire more love, more joy, more friends, more money, or better health, it’s all yours for the asking and accepting and, if you’re willing to let go of any resistance you have to receiving abundance, relinquish any belief that you are limited, open your mind and heart to the possibility that you can attract anything you desire in life and abundance will flow to you effortlessly and easily.

True abundance begins with a thought followed by an intention, a clear understanding of what you want to happen.  Then an expectation and finally the pervasive feeling that lets you know you can be, do and have anything your heart desires as long as you believe in it’s possibility, it serves you and others, and brings harm to no one.  This is the exquisite creative process of attraction at work.

Inviting the unlimited abundance that already exists around you into your life requires only hour awareness, intention and silence.  No matter what your life was like in the past, now is your time to enjoy the fruits of abundance by going directly to the source and accepting what is waiting there for you.

For today’s meditation, ask yourself the question, “What would I like to have more of in my life?”  Maybe you want more love or better health.  Allow your answer to help you form a clear intention of whatever it is that you desire.

As we go into meditation, plant the seed of this intention into the fertile soil of the unified field and allow the universe to take care of the details.

As we prepare to reconnect with the unified field, the source of all abundance, let’s focus on today’s centering thought, “I create my personal abundance from an infinite source”.  “I create my personal abundance from an infinite source.  I create my personal abundance from an infinite source.”

Find a comfortable position, placing your hands lightly in your lap and closing your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Gently introduce today’s Sanskrit mantra, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, Aham Brahmasmi – the core of my being is the ultimate reality.  Aham Brahmasmi.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra, Aham Brahmasmi.  Continue with your meditation for about 5 minutes.  Aham Brahmasmi.  Aham Brahmasmi.

Release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  As you continue with your day, carry the sense of abundance with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “I create my personal abundance from an infinite source”.  ” I create my personal abundance from an infinite source.”

Day 3: Mind, Matter and Spirit

Today’s Centering Thought:  “Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  Sat Chit Ananda

Welcome to Day 3, What is reality?  Is it what we can experience with our senses?  Or is it something else – something deeper?  Consider for a moment, where was the chair you are sitting on before it was created?  Where was your newborn before she came into this world?  Just because we cannot see or touch something does not mean it doesn’t exist.  It simply means we can’t experience it in our three dimensional world at this moment.  The same holds true for whatever you consider abundance – limitless love, unbounded joy, optimal health or greater material possessions.  Just because you’re not experiencing what you desire in this moment doesn’t mean it can’t exist for you.

We live our lives primarily on the physical plane which includes everything that has form or substance, what we normally refer to as matter.  Some look at this physical realm and see lack – others see abundance.  Some feel abundant, others feel limited based on certain messages they may have received in the past.  While we believe matter to be reality, we often view reality as changeless yet, matter and form continually change.  So, what then is reality?

As we exist in the physical plane, we also live at the level of the mind.  The mind is that part of us that perceives, reasons, thinks, and evaluates.  The mind is potential energy and because of this, we can change our physical world simply by changing our thoughts and beliefs.  Beyond the mind at the deepest level of consciousness resides the spirit.  This is the part of us that is eternal, unchanging and imbued with pure, unlimited potential.  Tapping into this potential is what allows us to manifest miracles.  The world out there may appear to be objective but, in fact, it is subjective, a construct of our own interpretations.

Our words, thoughts and beliefs create specific results in the physical world.  Therefore abundance does not spring from an external source.  Rather it comes from within – from thought, intention, attention and expectation.  You, as a powerful creative being, can change your perceptions, change your mind and change your reality by transforming your thoughts and expectations.  You can begin to speak and understand nature’s language and harness it’s infinite flow of energy, information and intelligence to enjoy the great bounty of spirit that is your birthright.

As we prepare for meditation, let’s contemplate today’s centering thought, “Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life”.  “Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life.”  Now let’s begin

Please find a comfortable position, placing your hands lightly in your lap and closing your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Gently introduce today’s Sanskrit mantra, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, Sat Chit Ananda. Existence, consciousness, bliss.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra, At Chit Ananda.  Continue with your meditation for about 5 minutes.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Just mentally.

Release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  As you continue with your day, carry the sense of abundance with you, remembering to consider the centering thought, “Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life”.  “Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life.  Today I focus on what I want to attract into my life.”

Day 4:  Pure Consciousness

Today’s Centering Thought:  “From this moment forward, I invited unlimited abundance into my life.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  Aham Brahmasmi

Noted Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, coined the term, “collective consciousness”.  He coined the term to signify the beliefs we hold that are based on what others have taught us.  All these beliefs stem from object referral, seeking answers externally and accepting others’ portrayals of  how life is supposed to be.

As we reconnect with the higher self, delving within for guidance, we begin to live our lives through self-referral, detaching from external messages and living from pure consciousness or the unified field.  As we contemplate our understanding of abundance, we may realize that our social conditioning has led us to believe  there is only so much to go around – a finite amount of money or a limited number of opportunities.  Whether we define abundance as material wealth, love, joy, friends or recognition, we project the idea that these resources are scarce and when they are gone, there will be no more.

If this has been your experience when you move through the physical world, abundance can seem elusive.  If you identify with pure consciousness, however, true abundance is natural phenomenon.  Pure consciousness includes pure potentiality, meaning that anything is possible in the realm of spirit.  It is self-referencing, self-evolving and self-regulatory.  In this realm, you are the one who chooses your present and your future.  In this moment, what are you choosing?  Become a silent witness to your thoughts, ask your heart and you will know.

Collective consciousness resides in the physical world – that of mind and matter; pure consciousness exists in the gap between thoughts.  Here is the foundation of all creativity, the place where you can give rise to anything you want, need or desire – without limit.

Embrace your true being, your highest self today.  Leave behind the past and any preconceived  feelings about the physical world, notions of pre-conditioning, and tap into the universal mind to bask in the bliss of transcendent silence, pure consciousness.

Take a moment today to consider a situation in  which the thoughts and beliefs of others have shaped your perception and then contemplate a new scenario that reflects your highest vision of circumstances.  Ask yourself, “What have I been choosing in this situation?”  “What new choices can I make from this moment on that will help me realizes my new goals?”

As we move into our meditation, let’s focus on today’s centering thought, “From this moment forward I invite unlimited abundance into my life”.  “From this moment forward, I invited unlimited abundance into my life.”  Now let’s begin.

Gently introduce today’s Sanskrit mantra, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, Aham Brahmasmi.  Aham Brahmasmi.  The core of my being is the ultimate reality.

Release the mantra.  Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  As you continue with your day, carry the sense of abundance with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “From this moment forward, I invite unlimited abundance into my life”.  “From this moment forward, I invite unlimited abundance into my life.”

Day 5: The Field of All Possibilities

Today’s Centering Thought:  “Today, I embrace my potential to be, do and have whatever I can dream.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  Sat Chit Ananda

Welcome to Day 5 – The Field of All Possibilities.  There is a saying, “You are known by the company you keep” and through our environment we tend to inherent the beliefs of those with whom we spend the most time.  These philosophies then become part of our subconscious mind.

Though research shows we function primarily with our subconscious minds that have been programmed by others, as humans we have the amazing ability to change past conditioning.  We can achieve this by releasing negativity, interacting with like-minded conscious people, enjoying inspirational sights and sounds, and engaging in uplifting activities.  In this way, we can develop new, positive ways of  living and begin to clear the subconscious of all that does not serve us.

True transformation is brought about by the two qualities inherent in consciousness – attention or focus and intention, a clear vision of a desired outcome.  Attention energizes and intention transforms.   What we place our attention on expands in our lives and our intention for the object of our attention will orchestrate the forces of the universe to support our desired result.  Harnessing this power of attention and intention, you can change your life to reflect exactly what you envision.

Entering into the field of all possibilities during meditation allows us to bear witness to our co-creative powers and change any situation in our lives.  For instance, if you want to move from where you currently live, to be closer to the ocean, then you might envision a two bedroom home one block from the water’s edge with a vegetable garden and a yard for the dog.  Being specific helps crystallize the vision.  When you go into meditation, look at this intention and let it go.  Surrender it to the field of all possibilities and allow the universe to correlate the details.

You are a radiant, cherished and deeply loved being, imbued with the seeds of divinity and possess the power to live a life filled with love, joy, health and passion, friends, material possessions and whatever else you choose.  Expect and accept this ultimate good and revel in the truth of your resplendent existence.

Right now, as we prepare for mediation, take a moment to contemplate today’s centering thought, “Today, I embrace my potential to be, do and have whatever I can dream”.  “Today, I embrace my potential to be, do and have whatever I can dream.”

Now let’s begin.  Please find a comfortable position, placing your hands lightly in your lap and closing your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to our higher self. Sat Chit Ananda.  Existence, consciousness, bliss.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra, Sat Chit Ananda.  Continue with your meditation for about 5 minutes.  Sat Chit Ananda.  Sat Chit Ananda.

Release the mantra.  Bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  As you continue with you day, carry the sense of unlimited potential with you and consider today’s centering thought, “Today, I embrace my potential to be, do and have whatever I can dream”.  “Today, I embrace my potential to be, do and have whatever I can dream.  Today, I embrace my potential to be, do and have whatever I can dream.”

Day 6 – The Seeds of Success

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  Rum

Centering Thought: “Everything I desire is within me”

We are born with everything we need for a life full of love and success.  But often we measure our love, joy, health, vitality and other positive qualities by comparing ourselves to something or someone else.  Perhaps thinking thoughts like “I have a loving relationship but not as loving as my friend’s” or “I live in a nice house but not as big as my brother’s”, or, “I have a good job but I don’t make as much money as my colleague”.   Such comparisons stem from object referral, looking outside oneself for validation.  But an abundant life is not about external comparisons but instead, a life of fulfillment comes from within with the knowledge that you were born with everything you need to be happy and successful, and can access those seeds of abundance at any time.

Currently, all over the world, many people are experiencing difficult times.  When we experience such setbacks, we sometimes feel as though we’ll never achieve success.  Yet, in every perceived failure or setback is the seed of success.  In every situation , we have new opportunities to find creative solutions for our problems, redefine our priorities and explore other options.  We begin to view our challenges more positivley once we realize we have the power to focus our attention on new possibilities and possibilities for abundance are endless.  There are no limits to what we can have.

Take the time to look at each situation which challenges you and find those seeds of success that will attract greater abundance into your life.

Consider the abundant banquet of life that has been spread before us in all of it’s splendor.  Spend a moment focusing on this centering thought, “Everything I desire is within me.”  “Everything I desire is within me.”

Go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to our higher self.   Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.  Gently introduce the mantra, repeating it mentally, and allowing it to flow with effortless ease.. Rum, rum.   “Everything I desire is within me.”  Rum. Rum. Rum.

Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, distractions in your body, noises in the environment, simply gently return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra.  Rum.  Rum.  Rum.  Please continue with your meditation for about five minutes.

Release the mantra.  Bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

As you continue with your day, take with you the sense of stillness and remember today’s centering thought “Everything I desire is within me”.  “Everything I desire is within me”.

Namaste,

Day 7 – Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire

Centering Thought:  “I use my conscious intention to manifest my dreams.”

Over the last six days, we have discovered the reality of the source of abundance which is unlimited and eternal.  We’ve learned that mind, matter and spirit work in conjunction with one another to manifest abundance, as in the silent field of all possibilities lie the seeds of success.  When you live from within, your desires are fulfilled quickly, spontaneously and with minimal effort.  This week, we’ll contemplate what we sometimes call a coincidence, a miracle, or just luck.

Ask yourself how long does it take for a dream to come true?  In the minds of some, specific conditions must be met, plans must be in place, a certain amount of time must pass, and effort needs to be exerted.  However, these conditions all spring from the physical three-dimensional world.  In deeper levels of consciousness, what we call a dream, miracle, or lucky coincidence can happen in an instant.  Is a lucky coincident something that happens to some and not to others?  Or is what we call luck what is actually the result of awareness and intention?

Having your dreams spontaneously fulfilled is not luck, in fact, luck is a concept invented and used by those who have not yet discovered the power of living in alignment with the soul, spirit and source.  Once you realign with your source, you will find that you can spontaneously fulfill your desires and enjoy every day miracles.  There will never be a need to worry about when or if your dreams will come true if you hold the faith and trust that they will.

Take a moment to envision an everyday miracle you would like to have happen in your life.  Consider your circumstances as they are now, and how you would like them to be.  For instance, perhaps you work as an accountant but have always wanted to express your artistic side.  Paying attention to your body, notice how you feel when you think about your present circumstances and when you focus on your dreams.  Pay attention to these feelings of comfort or discomfort, sadness or joy.  Your body is a wonderful tool to help align you with spirit.   Noticing how it feels helps you to make creative choices that will bring you closer to what you desire.

Consider today’s centering thought, “I use my conscious intention to manifest my dreams.”  “I use my conscious intention to manifest my dreams.”   Go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalationk allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.

Mantra is Sat (Saht) Chit Ananda (Ahnanda).  Sat Chit Ananda.  Existence, consciousness, bliss.  Saht Chit Ahnanda.  Repeat today’s centering thought. “I use my conscious intention to manifest my dreams.”

Day 8 – Abundance and the Law of Pure Potentiality

Centering Thought: “Through the Law of Pure Potentiality, I can create anything, anytime, anywhere.”

This week, You will learn how to attract greater abundance by applying the laws from my book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success”, to your life.

Today, we’ll focus on the first law, the law of  pure potentiality that asserts that in our essential state, we are pure consciousness, pure potentiality and the field of all possibilities.  When you discover your true nature and know who you really are, you experience pure being and stand fearless in the face of any challenge.  In this state, you are anchored in the unlimited and eternal power of yourself which draws people, situations and circumstances to help support your deepest desires.

Engaging in our daily activities, we sometimes hear thoughts and opinions often expressed as fact that do not define our divine essence.  We may hear news that good jobs are scare, that the global financial picture is bleak, or that the world resources are rapidly dwindling.  It is important to note that such statements are not universal truths.  Instead, they represent a collective consciousness that provides a sense of scarcity and the illusion of competition.

With so much negativity going around us, how then do we discover the deepest part of ourselves?  Coming into silence, we’re able to tune into ourselves and embrace our inner knowing aligned with spirit, our highest self, we silence the chatter and negativity of our three-dimensional world and tap into our unlimited power.  Here, in the stillness, we experience our inner essence which helps us manifest our heart’s needs and desires.

Spending time each day to silently commune with nature and witnessing it’s perfect intelligence will also allow us to connect with higher consciousness.  Yyet another way to achieve inner calm is to to release the need to judge other people and circumstances as good or bad, right or wrong.  When we judge people and events in our lives, we create turbulence which gets in the way of our getting in touch with our higher selves.  Relinquishing this need will allow us to be in the place of deep stillness.

To practice the law of pure potentiality today, commit to spending some time in silence and nature.  Free yourself from the need to judge people or situations.  Say to yourself, today I will judge nothing that occurs and periodically remind yourself of that commitment.  Allow this message to settle into your consciousness.  “Thru the law of pure potentiality, I can create anything, any time, anywhere.”  “Thru the law of pure potentiality, I can create anything, any time, anywhere.”

In this mometn, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.

Sanskrit mantra is om buvahm namah, “I am absolute existence, I am a field of all possibilities.”  Om buvahm namah.

As you continue with your day, carry this sense of abundance with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “Through the law of pure potentiality, I can create anything, any time, anywhere.”  “Through the law of pure potentiality, I can create anything, any time, anywhere.”

Namaste,
Day 9 – Abundance and the Law of Giving

Centering Thought:  “Today, and everyday, I give that which I want to receive.”

Life blooms through the flow of giving and receiving.  Nothing is static.  Our bodies flourish through dynamic and constant exchange with the universe.   Cells thrive through cooperation with one another as do all organs.  Blood must flow freely and stopping it’s flow creates coagulation just as thwarting the flow of a river creates stagnation.

Nature similarly provides us with a perfect symphony.  The sun provides warmth for seed pods to sprout.  Rain brings much needed moisture to crops which subsequently give us food to nourish our bodies.   No where in the natural world does hoarding exist.  The process of giving and receiving is a crucial part of natures abundance.  In this way, the law of giving is very simple.  If you want joy, give joy to others.  If love is what you seek, offer love.  If you crave material affluence, then help others become prosperous.   The easiest ways to get what you want is to circulate the flow of abundance and help others get what they want and what they need.

To be blessed with all of the good things in life including abundance, learn to silently bless everyone with all of the good things in their life – pleasant thoughts, good wishes, appreciation, compliments or even a smile.  The more you give, the more you receive.  Consider abundance as simply another name for universal good which is always available to you as a divine, loving and compassionate being.  By accepting life’s goodness and offering it to others, you will create true abundance in your own life.

Today, practice the law of giving by offering a small gift to everyone you encounter.  The gift does not have to be expensive, or of any monetary value at all.  A flower, a smile, a heart felt compliment, a helping hand or a silent blessing.  Remain open to gratefully receiving all gifts that are offered to you.

Take a moment to focus on today’s centering thought, “Today and every day, I give that which I want to receive.”  “Today and every day, I give that which I want to receive.”

Sanskrit mantra for the law of giving is Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.

As you continue with the day, carry the sense of abundance with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “Today and every day, I give that which I want to receive.”

Day 10 – Abundance and the Law of Karma

Centering Thought: “Today, I make great choices because they are made with full awareness.”

Although all of the events in your life are governed by the result of cause and effect, and are karmic events, there is great freedom in knowing that if you do not like the results of a previous choice, then you can always choose again.  In every situation, there are countless alternatives that effect you and those around you.  When you make a singular choice it should nourish you and everyone else influenced by your actions.  This is the law of karma, conscious choice making.  True abundance is the ability to fulfill one’s desires with minimal effort.   When we speak of abundance as it relates to the law of karma, we can look to the concept of stewardship, responsibly caring for something we value as a path to realizing our dreams – taking care of a child, making healthy choices for our bodies, suing earth’s natural resources responsibly.  All of these are examples of good stewardship.

Every action we take generates a force of energy that returns to us in kind.  As we sow, so shall we reap.  As we make conscious choices to care for what we have, more will be given to us.  If you want to increase your material worth, then consciously minding your financial affairs will add to your bounty.  If more love is what you want, then practice being more loving with every person who comes into your life.

The law of karma reminds you to consciously sow seeds of abundance and tend to them with the utmost kindness and care.  Soon you will enjoy the plentiful fruits of your loving choices.

Today, lets spend a moment asking the heart for guidance in conscious choice making.  Putting your attention in your heart, ask yourself, will this choice bring fulfillment and happiness to me and to those who are affected by this choice.  Do this each time that you are faced with a decision that will impact you and those around you.  Listen to your heart for the answer and you will always make a conscious choice.

Take a moment to focus on today’s centering thought.  “Today I make great choices because they are made with full awareness.”  “Today, I make great choices because they are made with full awareness.

The Sanskrit mantra for the law of Karma is Om Kriyam Namah.  My actions are aligned with cosmic law.

As you continue with your day, remember the importance of conscious choice making by reminding yourself of our centering thought for today.  “Today I make great choices because they are made with full awareness.”  “Today, I make great choices because they are made with full awareness.”

Day 11 – Abundance and the Law of Least Effort

The universe is an elegantly orchestrated symphony.  When body-mind is in concert with the universe, everything becomes spontaneous and effortless and the exuberance of the universe flows through us  in joyful ecstasy .  This is the essence of the Law of least effort, trusting that everything in the universe is as it should be, in perfect harmony.  Knowing this, we dance to the rhythm of the cosmos, living life in comfort and ease, shedding the belief that abundance is the result of struggle.

The law of least effort tells us that we can do less and accomplish more.  But first, we must practice acceptance.  The more readily you accept the circumstances of your life in this moment, the easier life becomes.   When you struggle against this moment, you’re actually struggling against the entire universe.  And while you may have the intention for your life to change in some way, accepting it as it is, right now, places you in the best position to attain your goals.

We have likely all heard the maxim, no pain, no gain, that we have to work diligently to achieve what we want in life.  However, the law of least effort teaches us that when we act in harmony with nature, established in the knowledge of ourselves, and motivated in love, we can achieve the success and fortune we desire with effortless ease.

Today, put the law of least effort into practice, accept all people and circumstances in your life exactly as they are.  Take responsibility for your life without blaming yourself, knowing that everything is as it should be.  Practice defenselessness and relinquish the need to influence or persuade others of your point of view.

Let’s return ou attention to today’s centering thought, “I expect and accept abundance to flow easily to me”.  “I expect and accept abundance to flow easily to me”.

The Sanskrit mantra for the law of least effort is Om Daksham Namah.  My actions achieve maximal benefit with minimal effort.

As you continue with your day, carry the sense of effortless ease with you and remember the centering thought, I expect and accept abundance to flow easily to me.  “I expect and accept abundance to flow easily to me.”

Day 12 – Abundance and the Law of Intention and Desire

Centering Thought – “I place my intention into the vast ocean of all possibilities and allow the universe to work through me.”

Having an abundance consciousness allows us to view life as a magical adventure where our needs are met with grace and ease.  It includes the ability to see beauty wherever we go, have gratitude as our primary emotion, open our hearts to everyone we meet and trust in the cosmic plan

According to the law of intention and desire, we recognize that at the deepest level of reality is a field of energy that gives rise to all the forms of creation.  Placing your attention on exactly what you want to create in your life – beauty, love, prosperity, will energize the object of your desire and draw it to you.

Attention energizes.  Intention transforms.  Once you clarify your intentions, surrender them into the silence and allow the universe to work out the details.

Today I will guide you through a visualization mediation where we’ll create our intentions and release them.  Let’s begin…

Find a comfortable position, placing your hands gently in your lap and closing your eyes.  Allow your mind to carry you to a luxurious beach where the ivory sand flows like sugar between your toes and the turquoise waves gently ebb and flow at you feet.  The scent of the crisp salty air tantalizes your nose and you breathe deeply.

In the distance, you spy a flack of gulls flying deftly above the water, and a school of dolphins at play.  A bottle that contains a scroll, and a pen is close by and you pick it up.  On the scroll you begin to make a list of your heartfelt intentions one-by-one.   These are your deepest desires.

As you complete your list, you place the scroll back into the bottle and toss it into the vast sea.  Feel the abundance of the beautiful beach that surrounds you.  Ask the universe to deliver the contents of your bottle and cast those intentions in to the ocean of consciousness.  Now take a slow, deep breath and gently introduce the Sanskrit mantra for the laws of intention and desire, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease.    Om Ritam Nemah.  My actions and desires are supported by cosmic intelligence.  Om Retim Nemah.   Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body, or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to repeating the mantra, Om Ritam Nemah.  Please continue with your meditation.  Om Ritam Nemah.

Please bring you awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.  As you continue with you day, know that your deepest desires are supported by the universe, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “I place my intention into the vast ocean of all possibilities and allow the universe to work through me.”  “I place my intention into the vast ocean of all possibilities and allow the universe to work through me.”

Day 13 – Abundance and the Law of Detachment

Centering Thought: “As I let go of the need to arrange my life, the universe brings abundant good to me.

In the words of Dr. David Simon, my beloved friend and cofounder of the Chopra Center for Well Being, abundance is a state in which you believe you were intrinsically created, and that you are an expression of the universe.  If you accept the idea of an unlimited abundant universe, you relinquish the desire to  manage circumstances and force solutions in order to manifest your desires.  This is the essence of the law of detachment.

The law of detachment teaches us to focus our attention on what we desire, take the necessary steps to achieve our dreams and then find security in the wisdom of  uncertainty by letting go of any attachment to outcome, an essential step in achieving our goals.

Think for a moment about a time when you tried to recall a name with no success.   Finally, after struggling to remember, you let go of you efforts, then a while later, the name flashed across the screen of your consciousness.  In this same way, casting your intention into the womb of creation, without attachment to the results, ultimately fulfills you desire.

In the physical world, there are perceived boundaries such as time, space and opportunity.  In the spiritual realm, no such boundaries exist.  Opportunities are limitless and there is no space or time.  What exists are pure possibilities, pure potentiality which you activate through your thoughts, beliefs and intentions.  Abundance springs from this unlimited source, therefore, release any thoughts of limitation.  Go directly to the force which lies within, and proclaim your intention.

Today, put the law of detachment into practice.  Detach from all expectation of outcome by allowing everyone and everything the freedom to be exactly as they are.  Accept uncertainty and witness the solutions and opportunities that spontaneously spring from it.  Then, step into the field of all possibilities, remaining open to its infinity of choices.

Take a moment to consider today’s, centering thought.  “As I let go of the need to arrange my life, the universe brings abundant good to me.”   “As I let go of the need to arrange my life, the universe brings abundant good to me.”

The Sanskrit mantra for the law of detachment  is Om Anandham Namah.    My actions are blissfully free from attachment to outcome.  Om Anandham Namah.

Release the mantra.  As you continue with your day, remember to release all attachment of the outcome of your efforts by reminding yourself of our centering thought for today, “As I let go of the need to arrange my life, the universe brings abundant good to me.”  “as I let go of the need to arrange my life, the universe brings abundant good to me.”

Day 14 – Abundance and the Law of Dharma

Centering Thought: “There is a way I can fulfill my true purpose in life.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra is om Varunam Namah – My life is in harmony with cosmic law.

You are well on your way to attracting the abundance that is waiting for you.  This past week we’ve explored the topic of abundance as it relates to the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.  Now, we’ll consider how the Law of Dharma has the greatest influence on your ability to fulfill your deepest desires.

The first component of the Law of Dharma is to discover your true self.  The second and third components are inextricably intertwined.  They are to express you unique talents and to share those gifts to bring happiness to you and others.   Explore all the things that make you heart sing and enable you to make a life.  Not just a living.  Ask yourself, “How can I help”, “How can I serve?”.

Expressing your gifts in service to others is the highest expression of the Law of Dharma.  When your creative expressions match the needs of those around you, abundance effortlessly flows into you life in perfect divine order.  You can put the Law of Dharma into practice today simply by listening to the spirit that presides inside you, consciously acknowledging your unique talents and asking yourself how you can best use those gifts to serve the world.

As we prepared for meditation, turn your attention to today’s centering thought, “There is a way I can fulfill my true purpose in life.”  “There is a way I can fulfill my true purpose in life.”

Please find a comfortable position, placing your hands lightly in your lap and closing you eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.

Gently introduce the Sanskrit mantra for the law of Dharma, repeating it mentally and allowing it to flow with effortless ease.  Om Varunam Namah.  Om Varunam Namah.  My life is in harmony with cosmic law.    Om Varunam Namah.  When you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to repeating the mantra, Om Varunam Namah.  Please continue with your meditation.

Please bring you awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

As you continue with your day, carry the sense of divine purpose with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “There is a way I can fulfill my true purpose in life”.  “There is a way I can fulfill my true purpose in life.”

“Day 15 – Living Synchrodestiny

Today’s Centering Thought: “As I live in present moment awareness, I live the magic of synchrodestiny.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra is Aham Brahmasmi – The core of my being is the ultimate reality, the root and ground of the universe, the souce of all that exists.

Mindful Moment – Witness the connections.  Explore experiences of synchrodestiny in your own life.  Make a list of  recent experiences that you’ve had.  Begin to notice these coincidences and see the universe at work in your life, helping you realize your dreams.

During our first week together, we explored the reality of abundance, it’s original source, the universe,  and how we attract it through our consciousness.  Last week, we learned how to attract more abundance by applying the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.   This week, we’ll expand on our foundation and discuss the many ways abundance can manifest in our lives, beginning with the understanding of how the effortless flow of seemingly unrelated events, come together to bring fulfillment to our lives.  I call this merging of of coincidence and destiny, synchrodestiny, powerfully leveraging the intelligence of the universe that orchestrates the whole dance of creation on every scale from the furthest reaches of the cosmos to the events of our down daily lives.

One of the main principles of synchrodestiny is recognizing and celebrating this cosmic dance.  Trusting that there is a rhythm to life and when we live in harmony with that rhythm, everything we desire comes to us effortlessly.  In this way, we can make miracles happen with no limit and without end.

Have you noticed that when things go right, they seem to continue to go right.   You get the feeling you are totally aligned with the flow of the universe.  What seem like coincidences pop up almost daily and opportunities and encounters that support you arise out of the blue.  That is synchrodestiny at work, the play of the universe that spreads the banquet of abundance before you.

Once you relax into the rhythm of life, its as if you are floating on the gentle current of a river, carrying you safely to shore where everything you have ever wanted awaits you.   Much like a powerful magnet, you will attract prosperity, emotional well being, spiritual fulfillment and a deep awareness of your life’s true meaning and purpose.

Pay attention to coincidences.  Listen to the messages they bring.  Live in the abundance of synchrodestiny.  Explore experiences of synchrodestiny in your own life.  Consciously recall to your awareness, recent coincidences that you have had.   Perhaps you were just thinking about an old friend and then she sent you an email.  Or you had an idea that would help you solve a problem and someone with the power to assist you had the same thought.  Begin to notice these coincidences and see the universe at work in your life, helping you realize your dreams.

Begin to contemplate the centering thought, “As I live in present moment awareness, I live the magic of synchrodestiny”.  “As I live in present moment awareness, I live the magic of synchrodestiny.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra is Aham Brahmasmi, Aham Brahmasmi, the core of my being is the ultimate reality.  Aham Brahmasmi.

As you continue with your day, carry this feeling of synchrodestiny with you, reminding yourself of the centering thought for today, “As I live in present moment awareness, I live the magic of synchrodestiny”.  “As I live in present moment awareness, I live the magic of synchrodestiny.

Day 16 – Living Gratefully

Today’s Centering Thought: “Today I remember to be grateful.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra – Om Vardhanam Namah – I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.

Mindful Moment: Cultivate gratitude.  Make a list today of the many things in your life that you appreciate.  Review you list and offer thanks for all you’ve included.  Practice this routine often.  Taking stock of you life’s many gifts and expressing gratitude will clear the way for even greater abundance to flow into your life.

Experiencing gratitude is one of the most effective ways of getting in touch with your soul.   When you feel gratitude, your ego steps out of the way, enabling you to feel greater love, compassion and understanding.  Genuine gratitude is also one of the most powerful ways to invite more goodness into our lives.   It is as if you are saying to the universe, “please bring me more of this”.

Gratitude is independent of any situation, circumstance or personal experience.   When you connect with this true inner joy, you feel bliss for no reason.  Simply being alive to gaze at the stars and appreciating the miracle of life itself brings you happiness.

To feel gratitude, consider all of the wonderful gifts you enjoy in your life, nurturing, loving relationships, connections you have with very special beings, the miracle of your body and fertile mind, and material comforts.  Appreciating your life in this manner, sweeps away any thought of lack or limitation and reminds you of the positive things that surround you.  You realize that everything you experience is a gift.

As you move into that place of gratitude, notice the warmth, love and compassion and sense of connection that enters your heart.  Find peace in knowing that there is a divine plan moving you forward on your evolutionary path.  Realize the seed of goodness in every situation and embrace each moment of your life as an opportunity to evolve into a more loving and thankful being.

Think of the many things in your life that you appreciate, taking stock of your life’s many gifts and expressing gratitude will pave the way for even greater abundance to flow into your life.  By giving thanks for all that you have, and commitment to live in deep appreciation, abundance is certain to flow to you.  That is the attractive power of gratitude.

Bring your attention to your heart and consider our centering thought, “Today, I remember to be grateful”.  “Today, I remember to be grateful.”

Keeping you attention in you heart, gently introduce the mantra into you mind, Om Vardhanam Namah.  I nourish the universe and the universe nourishes me.  Om Vardhanam Namah.

As you continue with your day,  carry this deep sense of gratitude with you, reminding yourself of our centering thought, “Today, I remember to be grateful”.  “Today, I remember to be grateful.”  “Today, I remember to be grateful.”

Namaste.
“Day 17 – Living Carefree

Today’s Centering Thought: “I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra is Sat, Chit, Ananda – Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

Mindful Moment: Bring in the joy!  Take some time today to reflect on good times, look at old photos, take time for a leisurely walk, or spend time with someone who warms your heart.  Experience the joy of all that you love, including yourself.  As a spiritual being, you fear nothing because you know there is nothing to fear, and all that truly exists in the world is love. “

There are some who live day-to-day, concerned about not having enough of whatever they feel is enough to have happiness and security.   Their bodies most likely echo those feelings by sending messages of discomfort in the form of anxiety, worry and stress.  This, however, does not have to be.  Instead, if we learn to trust the intelligence of the universe, and practice living carefree, we can live fearlessly without worry and focus on lack.  We can expect only the best and live our lives from a place of true joy.

When the mind nourishes the body with carefree thoughts and feelings, the body returns to it’s natural state of happiness and calm and, from this place of bliss, you are able to regain the memory of who and what you really are…a spiritual being.  Inextricably interconnected with the creative power of the universe.

Reconnecting with your true nature, you cross the invisible boundary between the ego and true self.   You begin to feel more humor in everyday circumstances, and laughing more, even at yourself because you no longer take yourself so seriously.  You handle the unexpected with calm and ease and your life becomes free of melodrama.

What if you learned to detach from worry about the future and instead trust that there is always enough of anything that you need or desire.  How would you change?  Would you feel happier and more carefree?   Notice that all of these qualities are available to you, right in this moment, if you chose them.  And, in this relaxed and blissful state, there is nothing you lack.   All of your needs are met with no exception.

Practice living each moment as it comes with a light and open heart and pay attention to how those carefree moments carry with them greater abundance and boundless joy.  To help you do this, take some times to reflect on good times.  Look at old photos, play a favorite song, pet you cat, take a leisurely walk, or spend time with someone who warms you heart.  Experience the joy of all that you love, including yourself.   As a spiritual being, you feel nothing because you know there is nothing to fear and all that truly exists in the world is love.

Take a moment to place you attention in your heart and focus on today’s centering thought, “I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well”. . “I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well.”

Gently introduce today’s Sanskrit mantra, Sat, Chit, Ananda.  Existence, Consciousness, Bliss.  Sat, Chit Ananda.

Today, carry a sense of light-heartedness with you, reminding yourself of our centering thought for today, “I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well”.  “I move through my days light-hearted and carefree, knowing all is well.”

Namaste,

Day 18 – Living Unity

Centering thought:  “I celebrate my unity with all life, knowing we are all one.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra is Tat Tvam Asi – I see the other in myself and myself in others.

Mindful Moment: Foster interconnectedness.  Be present and genuinely interested in the lives of others when you speak with them today.  In your conversations, give your undivided attention and, if you see someone in need, offer your assistance.  Fostering these experiences will help you cultivate a deeper understanding of true interconnectedness.

Living only in the physical realm, we perceive the world through our senses, yet, if we depend only on our senses, we believe the physical world is our sole reality in which all beings are separate from one another and have access to limited resources.  From this perspective of lack, we begin to believe for instance that if someone else enjoys success or finds love, we may be left out.   We become steeped in a competition that pits us against one another and prevents us from experiencing true bliss.

In truth, at both the molecular and spiritual levels, you and I are one, sharing the unity of an all pervasive spirit.  Once we realize that we are completely connected, the spirit of competition disappears, giving way to cooperation and unity consciousness.  In this state, we know that when one person succeeds, we all succeed.  Furthermore, since I am you, I do not exist without you.

I illustrate at this point, two bundles of reeds leaning against each other for support.  Both bundles thrive.  Because one exists, the other does as well.  Remove one bundle and the other bundle falls.  In our own lives, we can come to understand this when we think about family.  Families support each other in times of need and when a brother or a sister achieves success, the whole family celebrates.  On the deepest spiritual level, we are not only related to our parents, brothers and sisters, but to the entire world.  When we grow in this awareness, we live in unity, celebrating everyone’s success.

As we move toward the idea of living unity, a personal self is replaced by the universal self.   We develop sincere feelings of relatedness to everyone and  greater empathy with others as we share in their triumphs and joy.   We become genuinely interested in their lives, give them undivided attention and assist them when asked.

In this state, miracles are common place.  Here, we are able to create anything we desire including abundance in whatever form we choose.  Miracles happen because we are living in love, service and compassion.  The understanding of living unity carries with it tremendous power.  When enough people come to the realization that we are truly one and release the idea of separateness, we can achieve a critical mass of uplifted consciousness that will not only benefit our own lives but will help heal the world.

Spend some time practicing living unity today.  Be present and genuinely interested in the lives of others when you speak with them.  In your conversations, give you undivided attention and if you see someone in need, offer your assistance.  Fostering these experiences will help you develop true interconnectedness.

Focus your attention on the centering thought, “I celebrate my unity with all life, knowing we are all one”.  “I celebrate my unity with all life, knowing we are all one.”

Gently introduce the Sanskrit mantra, Tat Tvam Asi.  I see the other in myself and myself in others.  Tat Tvam Asi.

Today, carry the sense of living unity with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “I celebrate my unity with all live, knowing we are all one.”  “I celebrate my unity with all life, knowing we are all one.”

Namaste,

Day 19  Living Love

Today’s Centering Thought:  Today, I remember to love everything and everyone I come in contact with.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra is Sat, Chit, Ananda – Existence, Consciousness, Bliss

Mindful Moment: Share your love.  Practice living love today by offering a kind word or thought to everyone you meet, recognizing that the greatest gift you can give to anyone is love.

An Indian sage said to his followers, ‘Life is love and love is life.  What keeps the body together but love?  What is desire but love of the self?  And what is knowledge but love of truth?  The means and forms may be wrong but the motive behind them is always love.  Love of the me and the mine..  The me and the mine may be small or may explode and embrace the whole universe but love remains.”

Love is the most powerful force in the universe.  It can heal, inspire and bring us closer to the higher self.   Love is an eternal, never-ending gift to ourselves and others and when we truly experience love, we find ourselves.  Like a tiny spark that ignites a blaze that consumes a vast forest, a spark of love is all that it takes to experience love’s full force in all its aspects, earthly and divine.

The practice of living love exemplifies the unlimited abundance of the universe.  No matter how many people you love –  yourself, family, colleagues, the world, you can never run out because at the core of your being, you are pure love.

In ancient India, the ecstacy of love was called ananda, a bliss consciousness.  The ancient seers held that humans are meant to partake of this ananda at all times.  Living our lives with love for all beings helps us realizse our true nature.   Sat, chit, ananda.  Existence, consciousness, bliss.

Living from love attracts more goodness to you.  Therefore, to experience true abundance in your life, live the love that you were created to be, the love that you are,  and watch your life flourish in all ways.

Practic living love today by simply offering a kind word of love to everyone you meet, recognizing that the greatest gift you can give to anyone is love.

As we prepare for our meditation, let’s focus on today’s centering thought, “Today, I rememeber to love everthing and everyone I come into contact with.  Today, I remember to love every thing and everyone I come into contact with.”

Now lets begin. Gently introduce today’s Sanskrit mantra, expressing it gently and allowing it to flow with effortless ease.  Sat, chit, ananda.  Sat, chit, ananda.  Existence, consciousness, bliss.  Sat, chit, ananda.

Whenever you find yourself distracted by thoughts, sensations in your body or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra, sat, chit, ananda.  Please continue with your meditation.  Sat, chit, ananda.  Do this for about 5 minutes.  Then release the mantra.  Bring your wareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

As you continue with your day, carry the sense of living love with you, reminding yourself of today’s centering thought, “Today, I will remember to love every thing and every one I come into contact with.  Today, I remember to love every thing and every one I come into contact with.”

Namaste,

Welcome to Day 20:

Today’s Centering Thought, “Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.  Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.”

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra: Om Ritam Nemah..My actions and desires are supported by cosmic intelligence

When you believe you are valuable, you surround yourself with luxury, comforts and pleasures beyond those needed for everyday living.  Luxury is not materialism.  It doesn’t have to be an expensive car, or opulent home.  It can simply be the sweet fragrance of flowers picked from a garden, a drop of scented oil in a warm bath, a piece of rich chocolate, or the sound of beautiful music.  These are life’s small luxuries that cost very little but mean so much.

Do you feel worthy of such luxury?  Luxury is our natural state and abundance a birthright.  As Aurvedic wisdom tells us, every person is a piece of gold.  Pure gold is your essence, created from the love of the universe.  Love is as luminescent and cherished as are you.

As such a treasure, you deserve all the good the world has to offer.  With this in mind, know that by elevating your view of yourself, you elevate the quality of your life.   Your outer world will echo your thoughts, beliefs and intentions, that you are a  treasured being, worthy of abundance.

Practice living luxury today.  Take some time to do something for yourself that you consider luxurious.  Take a bubble bath or a long walk.  Meet a good friend for tea.  Or lose yourself in a favorite old film.  Make this a habit.  The more you bring small luxuries into your life, the more you will recognize yourself as a worthy, spiritual being, deserving of love and abundance.  Preparing for our meditation,  let’s focus on today’s centering thought, “Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.  Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.”

Now let’s begin.  Please find a comfortable position, placing your hands lightly in your lap and closing your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed, more comfortable, more at peace.

Gently introduce the mantra, repeating it gently and allowing it to flow with effortless ease, “Om ritam nemah”, Om ritam nemah”.  My actions and desires are supported by cosmic intelligence, Om ritam nemah.”  Whenever you find yourself distracted  by thoughts, distractions in your body, or noises in the environment, simply return your attention to mentally repeating the mantra.  Om ritam nemah.  Please continue with your meditation for about 5 minutes mentally repeating, Om ritam nemah.  Om ritam nemah.

Please bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

As you continue with your day, carry the sense of luxurious abundance with you, reminding yourself of  today’s centering thought…”Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.”  “Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.”  “Today, I treat myself to moments of luxury.”

Namaste,

Welcome to Day 21  Living Abundantly

Today’s Centering Thought:  Every Moment of every day, I live my life abundantly.

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  So Hum

“Congratulations on completing the Chopra Center 21 Day Meditation Challenge, Creating Abundance.  It has been our gift to share these rich meditation experiences with you.  Throughout our time together, you have acquired the daily tools to help experience daily abundance in your life.  You have grown in confidence that abundance is assured, certain in the knowledge that it is your birthright.

Experiencing abundance all around you, you know that you cocreate with your higher self  and can truly express yourself as an abundance being.  One who can enhance the lives of others and effect a positive change in the world.

Today, I will guide you through a visualization meditation where we will plant the seeds of this abundance consciousness to grow more love, happiness, prosperity.  Anything you wish.  Blissfully aware that abundance will flow easily and effortlessly into your life.  Let’s begin

Sit comfortably and softly close your eyes.  Inhaling and exhaling gently, let go of all thoughts.  Allow your  mind to take you to a beautiful meadow, so peaceful and inviting that you want to sit among it’s verdant grasses and enjoy it’s splendor.  The meadow soil feels soft and rich as you move it through your fingers, embracing your connection with the earth.  With you is a small package of seeds of all varieties, seeds of gratitude, appreciation, love, peace, material wealth, interconnectedness, harmony, health, well-being and bliss.  You open the packet, pouring the seeds into your hand and sprinkling them into the fertile soil.  You trust that once you’ve planted your seeds, the sun and rain will nurture them and they will grow into strong and vibrant plants.  As you revel in the meadow’s gentle fragrances before taking your leave, silently repeat these words after me, feeling them resonate within your heart center.  I am unlimited abundance.  I am blissful happiness.  I am exquisite well-being.  I am unconditional love.  I am complete harmony.  I am inner peace.

Now, take a slow, deep breath through your nostrils while repeating the sound, So.  Slowly exhale through your nostrils, repeating the sound, hum.  Continue to allow your breath to flow easily, repeating So on the inhale, and hum on the exhale.  Should your attention drift to sounds in your environment, or sensations in your body, gently return to repeating the mantra, So Hum.  So Hum.  Continue with this meditation for about 5 minutes.

Release the mantra and bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest.  Inhale and exhale slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

You have planted the seeds of abundance into the womb of creation where they will surely blossom with effortless ease.  Trust that at any time you can connect with the source, your true essence.

As we end our time together in this challenge, I leave you with one final centering thought which will leave you with a wonderful thought of all we have experienced together.  Every moment of every day, I live my life abundantly.  Every moment of every day, I live my life abundantly.

Namaste,
Welcome to Day 22:  Happiness and Humanity

Today’s Sanskrit Mantra:  So Hum

Today’s Centering Thought:  As I elevate my abundance consciousness, I do my part to heal the world.

Welcome back!  Now that we’ve experienced this miraculous transformation over the past three weeks, I want to guide you in a visualization meditation dedicated to transforming the energy of our planet by sharing our loving, peaceful presence with our global community.

Happiness and oneness help form the core of abundance.  Every creative vision of the world we want to be in – a place of love, happiness and prosperity for all – and hold it in our hearts, then so it will be.

Let’s begin.  Please find a comfortable position placing your hands gently in your lap and closing your eyes.  In this moment, go within to that place of inner quiet where we experience our connection to the higher self.  Let go of all thoughts and begin to observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.  With each inhalation and exhalation, allow yourself to become more relaxed.

Begin to imagine a light emanating from the core of our planet.  We are all gathered around it holding hands.  This glowing light, which the earth reflects before us, is the same spiritual source of all abundance that flows through each person on the planet.  This is the essence of our expression.  Namaste.  The divine light within me  honors the divine light within you.

As we look around, we see the ribbons of people from every nation standing with unity, smiling, hopeful, inspired.  We are all one.  Let’s set the intention right now for greater compassion, understanding, joy, love, equanimity, peace, abundance;  a more just and welcoming community… and cast our intentions out into the unified field, allowing the universe to handle the details.

Now take a slow deep breath through your nostrils while silently repeating the sound So.  Slowly exhale through your nostrils silently repeating the sound hum.  Continue to allow your breath to flow easily, repeating so on the inhale, and hum on the exhale.  Should your attention drift to thoughts, sounds in your environment, or sensations in your body, gently return your focus back to the mantra, So Hum.  So Hum.  Continue with your meditation for about five minutes.

Release the mantra.  Bring your awareness back into your body.  Take a moment to rest, inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply.  When you feel ready, gently open your eyes.

Thank you for being part of this global transformation, a shared visualization for worldwide abundance and well being.  It has been my privilege to be your guide over the past three weeks to help you awaken to your inner knowing and the reality that we are inherently abundant, spiritual beings.  As you continue on your journey, when you look into the silence of your heart, continue to feel connection with all humanity and enjoy your natural desire to give, receive and be part of the expansion of happiness across our planet.

Please allow today’s centering thought to stay with you always.  “As I elevate my abundance consciousness, I do my part to heal the world. As I elevate my abundance consciousness, I do my part to heal the world.  As I elevate my abundance consciousness, I do my part to heal the world.”

Namaste,

My Intention – A Written Affirmation

I visualize my intended outcome.  What is it?  Material – abundance? Spiritual? Higher understanding?  Inspiration?  Imagination? My process includes all of these.

I know if I live and move with my intention, it is inevitable.   The outcome will come together – as I encounter circumstances and situations.

I have been given a passion for art and my intention is to paint something that will benefit others.  Right now I’m working on a painting of a soldier embracing his wife/girlfriend, husband/boyfriend.  It is meant to represent all soldiers – male and female.  leaving or returning.  If it turns out the way I’m hoping, I’ll donate proceeds to help military families in some way.  My dream is that it will help soldiers and their families monetarily.  My hope is that it will sell many prints.  But if it sells even one, I know that money will help someone.  My intention is that it will make a difference in someone’s life.

My intention creates my reality and orchestrates fulfillment of my dream.   This is my dream.

My intention is in my heart and I’m listening with my soul.  I’m living and moving with this intention.   Things will come together in just the right way, at just the right time.   Situations, circumstances will work together to accomplish my dream.

I’m so excited!
